INVITATION TO TENDER
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF MDCAN NATIONAL SECRETARIAT BUILDING AT LUGBE 1
EXTENSION, ABUJA
A. INTRODUCTION:
The Incorporated Trustees of MEDICAL AND DENTAL CONSULTANTS’ ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (MDCAN) hereby invites competent and reputable companies to submit Technical and Financial Bids for the above project.
B. SCOPE OF WORKS:
The scope of works shall comprise the following
i. Construction of a Secretariat Block
ii. Provision of a Borehole with Storage Facility and accompanying Reticulation.
iii. External Works
C. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Interested companies should submit Bound Bid Documents duly signed and arranged in the order outlined hereunder:
TENDER REQUIREMENTS
i. Evidence of Certificate of Incorporation with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAO including Forms CAC2 and CAC7.
ii. Verifiable Proof of company’s ability to undertake the works. Records of similar projects successfully executed would be an advantage.
iii. Company profile to include names, qualification (copies of relevant academic and professional qualifications of such personnel must be attached) and experience of key personnel in Civil Engineering projects
iv. Evidence of financial capability to execute the project by submission of Reference Letter from a reputable Commercial Bank indicating willingness to provide credit facility for the execution of the project when needed
v. Audited account of company for two (2) years.
vi. Evidence of payment of a Non-refundable Tender Fee of N100,000.00 (One Hundred Thousand Naira only) made in Certified Bank Draft in favour of
“Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria”

vii. All documents for submission must be transmitted with a Covering Letter under the Company’s Letter Head.
D. COLLECTION OF TENDER DOCUMENTS: Interested companies are to collect the Bidding Document from the MDCAN Secretariat, Behind Consultants Car Park, National Hospital, Abuja on presentation of evidence of payment of the non-refundable Tender Fee of N100,000.00 One Hundred Thousand Naira) only.
E. SUBMISSION OF TENDERS:
Prospective bidders are to submit two (2) hard copies each of TECHNICAL and FINANCIAL BIDS packaged SEPARATELY in SEALED ENVELOPES and clearly marked as “Technical Bid” or “Financial Bid” and thereafter put the two sealed envelopes together in a bigger envelope addressed to “SECRETARY. MDCAN NATIONAL SECRETARIAT BUILDING COMMITTEE” and clearly marked “INVITATION TO TENDER” FOR “CONSTRUCTION OF MDCAN NATIONAL SECRETARIAT”. Furthermore, the reverse side of each sealed envelope should have the name and address of the bidder and dropped in the designated Tender Box located at the MDCAN Secretariat, Behind Consultants’ Car Park, National Hospital, Abuja, not later than 12.00 noon on Thursday 6th February, 2020 (i.e. four (4) weeks from the date of this publication). Representatives of the Bidding Companies are invited to witness the opening of the Tenders on the same day by 2.00pm at MDCAN Secretariat, Behind Consultants Car Park, National Hospital, Abuja.
F. GENERAL INFORMATION:
i. Bids must be signed by an official authorized by the bidder.
ii. Late submission will not be entertained.
iii. Only short-listed companies will be contacted after analysis.
iv. MDCAN is not bound to pre-qualify any bidder.
v. Bidders are advised to visit the site.
vi. This advertisement should not be considered as a commitment on the part of MDCAN nor shall it entitle companies to make any claims whatsoever.
