The World Food Programme (WEP) is the world’s largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide delivering food assistance in emergencies and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience. Each year, WFP assists some 80 million people in around 80 countries.
The World Food Programme (WFP) Nigeria Country office is inviting competent and financially stable business entities that have the expertise, capability and experience to provide the following categories of trade items;
a. Car hire services
b. Supply of iodized salt
c. Background Check Services
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTRATION!
1. Legal business registration with relevant authorities Corporate Affairs Commission
2. Audited financial statement for the last three (3 years
3. Valid Tax Clearance Certificate (CC)
4. Three (3) reference letters from organization/enables you have had contracts before
CATEGORY CAR HIRE SERVICE:
SERVICE REQUIRED
Provisions of Car hire services to WFP offices in Adamawa, Borno, Kino, Lagos, Rivers and Yobe State Nigeria.
Prospective companies should possess capacity to provide required vehicle and drivers to the office locations listed above. The service provider MUST have a physical office address premises in the state where the services are required and readily available vehicles to be deployed.
Services of interest to WFP Nigeria
Provision of inter and intrastate car hire services, airport pickup and drop of the vehicles required includes;
a. Sports Utility Vehicles (SUV) – 4×4
b. Sedan Or Saloon car
c. Double Cabin pick-up
d. 12-seater minibuses
REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTRATION IN CATEGORY:
1. The company must have prior experience of handling rental of soft skin vehicles
2. Have qualified drivers with experience of working in the difficult conditions and knowledge of located conditions:
3. The company must be aware of local security situations, and be able to action and implement contingency plans
4. Own Large fleet of vehicles that can be available at short notice:
5. The company must be in the business of vehicle hire/rentals:
6. The vehicles must have current insurance from credible insurance company
7. Vehicles must be duly registered with all the relevant authorities
CATEGORY B: SUPPLY OF IODIZED SALT:
SERVICE REQUIRED
Supply of iodized salt that meet WFP specifications at detailed in the specification website

Interested vendors for iodized salt should request for the Questionnaire by writing to Nigeria.procurement@wfp.org not later than 12.00pm on Friday 27th March 2020. With the subject Expression of Interest WFP-SC-ABJ-EOI-2020-001-Category B.
REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTRATION IN CATEGORY C:
1. Experience in supply of food items
2. Must be manufacturer or distributor of iodized Salt
CATEGORY C: PROVISION OF BACKGROUND CHECK SERVICES: SERVICES REQUIRED;
WFP is seeking Expressions of interest from providence of Background Check Services to conduct due diligence checks on candidates selected in relation to specific vacancy announcements and verify vendors that conduct business with WFP Nigeria.
REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTRATION IN CATEGORY C
• Technical expertise in data collection
• The ability to provide the services in Nigeria
• The capacity to deploy staff to any destination Nationwide
• Electronic data collection and data management systems
• Previous experience with background checks for international organizations is a plus.
SUBMISSION OF EOI:
All submissions for category A, B And C Must be accompanied by the following documents:
• Cover letter/Company profile including contact details and brief overview on the goods and services of interest to the company and execution process
• Complete set of the minimum requirements for registration
• Completed, signed and stomped questionnaire “attached to EOIS
All documents should be sent by e-mail to nigeria.procurement@wp.org not later than 5:00pm
3th March, 2020 with the subject WFP-SC-AB-EOI-2020-001- *mentioned the category either A, B or C* attaching all scanned supporting documents required.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF EDI IS BY 5:00PM ON MONDAY 30TH MARCH 2020
Please note that, this Expression of Interest is only for the purpose of registration of the pre-Qualified suppliers in WFP supplier Roster. A full technical requirement and detail will be provided with a formal solicitation document issued when the food, goods and or services are required at a later stage after the closing date for this EOL Also note that, this is only an Expression of Interest and does not bind the World Food Programme to issue any tenders or contracts to the companies expressing their interest.
