PUBLIC DISPLAY ON THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT (EIA) OF THE PROPOSED INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX EXPANSION PROJECT IN JAMATA VILLAGE, LOKOJA LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA, KOGI STATE BY UNICANE INDUSTRIES LIMITED
DEADLINE: 16TH NOVEMBER, 2020
In accordance with the provisions of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Act CAP E12 LFN 2004, which makes it mandatory for proponents of all new major development activities to carry out Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for proposed projects, the Federal Ministry of Environment hereby announces twenty-one (21) working days Public Display for the draft EIA report submitted by Unicane Industries Limited. This display is to enable the public to make inputs that shall facilitate informed decisions of the project EIA by the Ministry
BRIEF PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The proposed expansion project shall involve the construction of 280,0001itre/ day Ethanol Plant, 60tons/he Boiler, 7MW Steam Tubine, 40tons/day Shea Butter Plant, 180tons/day Soya Plant, 70tons/day Carbon dioxide recovery plant and 100tons/day Starch Production Plant on a land take of 10H2 out of 19Ha of land acquired in Jamata village Lokoja Local Government Area, Kogi state
