RE: INVITATION FOR PREQUALIFIED CONTRACTORS TO SUBMIT FINANCIAL BIDS FOR YEAR 2020 CAPITAL PROJECTS
ADDENDUM
The Rural Electrification Agency wishes to draw the attention of all contractors to the publication of prequalified bidders earlier posted on the Agency’s Notice Board and Website on Tuesday, 22nd September, 2020.
The Financial Bid Opening earlier scheduled for Monday, October 12, 2020 at 12:00 noon for Category AB and C is now extended to 12:00 noon on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 while the Opening for Category D scheduled for Tuesday, October 13, 2020 is now extended to Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 12:00 noon. These extensions are as a result of the Independence Day Declared by the Federal Government of Nigeria as Public Holiday in between the issuance period.
Opening of Bids will follow the same day immediately after the submissions deadline. All other conditions of the Tender as earlier posted remain valid.
Prequalified Contractors yet to collect the Financial Bidding documents are advised to do so on or before the submission deadline.
Because of the Covid-19 pandemic that is currently ravaging the country, bidders are to note the following:
-For collection of Tender documents, only Ten (10) bldders will be allowed to enter into the Agency’s premises at a time
-REA may not be able to entertain large number of people during the bid opening as such, only bidders that come early will be allowed to witness the bid opening process. However, we will make available video coverage of the exercise for Interested bidders based on request. We will as well ensure that relevant Civil Society Organisations/NGOs observe the exercise in compliance with Section 19 of the PPA, 2007.
