PUBLIC DISCLOSURE OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL MANAGEMENT PLAN (ESMP) AND RESETTLEMENT ACTION PLAN (RAP) ADDENDUM FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF 3X 15M SPAN BRIDGE AT KM 25 + 025 ALONG BADEGGI-EBBA-KATEGI ROAD IN NIGER STATE BY RURAL ACCESS AND MOBILITY PROJECT (RAMP) UNDER FEDERAL MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT
DEADLINE: 31ST DECEMBER, 2020
In accordance with the provisions of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Act Cap E12 LFN 2004, which makes it mandatory for proponents of all new major development activities to carry out Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of their proposed projects, the Federal Ministry of Environment hereby announces a twenty-one (21) working days Public disclosure for information and comments on the Environmental and Social Management Plan and Addendum Resettlement Action Plan reports submitted by Rural Access and Mobility Project (RAMP) under Federal Ministry 01 Agriculture and Rural Development.
The Disclosure Centers Are:

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The proposed project involves the construction of a 3 x 15m span bridge along Badeggi – Ebba- river for channelization and diversion of the existing riverbed in Katcha Local Government Area of Niger State. The Project components includes realignment of about 700m portion of approach roads to the bridge from both the Badeggi and Kataereggi axis, construction of embankments and retaining walls to enhance safety and sustainability of the bridge and flood protection works at critical points along the river training course and development of a Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) for Project Affected Persons (PAP)

Date: 30th November – 31st December, 2020.
Time: 8:00am – 4 00pm Daily
All comments received should be forwarded to the Hon. Minister Federal Ministry of Environment Mabushi, Abuja on or before 9 January, 2021.
