PRE-QUALIFICATION NOTICE

IFAD ASSISTED LIVELIHOOD IMPROVEMENT FAMILY ENTERPRISE IN THE NIGER DELTA (LIFE-ND) PROJECT

The Federal Government of Nigeria has received a loan of USD$60 Million equivalent from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) toward the cost of the Livelihood Improvement Family Enterprise Project-Niger Delta (LIFE-ND), in the states of Abia, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo and Ondo and intends to apply part of the proceeds for the procurement of Agricultural inputs and related services under this program. Specifically, the program will undertake the procurement of the following inputs and services which will include delivery and distribution to designated beneficiaries in participating LGAs and Communities within the states:
(1) Livestock Inputs (Poultry) – Day old Chicks, Medication and Vaccines, Layers Feed, Starter Feeds, Finisher Feeds, Growers Mash, Chick Mash, Drinkers, Feeders etc.
(2) Fishery – Juveniles, Medications, Fish Feeds (Various types and sizes), Fish Parent Stock, Fish Nets etc.
(3) Crop Inputs
(3.1) Cassava Production-Stem Cuttings
(3.2) Rice Production- Foundation Seeds
(3.3) Plantain Production-Plantain Suckers
(3.4) Cassava Processing-Cassava Fresh Tubers
(3.5) Oil Palm Production-Oil Palm Fresh Fruit Bunches
(3.6) Cocoa Production -Certified Cocoa beans and Cocoa Seedlings
(4) Fertilizers -NPK, Urea etc.
(5) Agro-Chemicals – Herbicides, Pesticides, Sprayers
(6) Land Preparation Support Services
(7) Small Production/Processing Equipment such as Garri Processing Equipment, Palm Oil Processing Equipment, Irrigation Equipment etc.
The program includes the following components:
(a) Enhancement of economic opportunities for rural youth and women which includes Support to Rural Agribusiness Incubation, Production and Marketing Infrastructure Support to Agribusinesses, Financial Inclusion support for Agric Business, Rural Institution Strengthening and Knowledge Management
(b) Program Management and Coordination,
All Procurement financed by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the IFAD Procurement Guidelines 2010 and I FAD procurement Handbook and are open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines.
Interested eligible Input Suppliers/Dealers who wish to be prequalified and registered under the Project should submit profiles or proposals with all statutory and activity based documentary evidence to the address below:-Each submission should indicate the area of interest in the top right hand corner of the envelope
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION:
The deadline for the submission of proposals and company profile (hard copies only) is 11 November, 2021 and should be addressed to the applicable State Project Coordinating Offices of *LIFE-ND as follows:
