TENDER FOR THE CONSTRUCTION/REHABILITATION OF ROADs ACROSS THE STATE
1.0 INTRODUCTION:
As part of the efforts towards improving the well being of the people of the State
especially in the area of provision of good road infrastructure, the Ministry wishes to embark on the Construction/Rehabilitation of the under listed roods across the State:
i. Construction of Oloje- Ita Aman-Madi Road, Ilorin- (550m)
ii. Okuta Central Mosque junction- Emirs Palace- Sakiyara Primary School Barutean- 0.65km
iii. Rehabilitation of lyana Shonga-Shonga road, Shonga- (29km);
iv. Rehabilitation of Oko-ldofin lgbana road-(18.0km)
v. Reconstruction of Adeta Roundabout- Pakata Roundabout, Ilorin with Walkway on both sides- (4km)
vi. Rehabilitation of Oja Oba Roundabout-Pakata Roundabout with Master Drain, Ilorin- (247km)
vii. Construction of Ballah Township road- (1.1km)
viii. Construction of General Hospital Road-Otte Township Road- (12km)
ix. Oke Oyi Township road- (1.5km)
x. Secretariat radio New market Lafiag Township, Latag- (1.71 km)
xi. Tsaragi Township road- (1.0km)
xii. Tsuba- Central School, Lade- (1.1km)
xiii. Cocacola-Palace road, Jebba- (1.1km):
xiv. Lanwa Towriship road- (1.05km)
xv. Oloru Township road- (1.3km)
xvi. Bari Township road, Kaiama- (41.6km)
xvii. Construction of (2 x 12.5) Span Bridge along Bukka Adena road, kaiama
xviii. Construction of Saint Clare’s junction Offa Ikotun road with Master Drain and channelization- (1.6km)
xix. Ora Township road- (1.5km) and
xx. Oloje road linking Balode, Ilorin- (1.0km)
xxi. Tanke OkeOdo Ring Raad- (1.8km)
SCOPE OF WORK
i. Clearing and Earth works
ii. Construction of various sizes of box culverts
iii. Construction of R.C drain of various sizes
iv. Preparation of road formation to base course level
v. Priming, tack coat and Asphaltic Concrete works
3.0 REQUIREMENTS
Interested Contractors must provide the following:
i. Evidence of Registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission
ii. Evidence of Registration with the Kwara State Government (KWPPA)
iii. Evidence of Registration with relevant professional bodies
iv. Evidence of Registration of Firm with COREN
v. Comprehensive Company profile
vi. Evidence of technical capability and experience in similar road projects
vii. Evidence of financial capability and access to financial resources
viii. Equipment and technology capability
ix. Evidence of least three years Tax Clearance
x. Evidence of three years of company Audited Accounts
xi. Evidence of VAT registration and remittance
xii. Payment of non-refundable Tender Fees of N150,000.00 only for projects in
Paragraph 1 (items i & ii), N500,000.00 for each Projects in Paragraph 10 items iii & iv) and N250,000.00 for each project in Paragraph 1 (Items v-xxi) payable into any of the following accounts.

4.0 COLLECTION OF BID DOCUMENTS
Interested contractors should upon payment of appropriate non- refundable Tender processing Fee, obtain Bid Document from Friday, 10 December, 2021 from Ihe Tenders Secretariat Ministry of Works. liorin.
5.0 SUBMISSION OF BID DOCUMENTS
Interested Contractor in any of the projects should submit three (3) copies of their technical and financial bids in sealed envelope and clearly marked Tender for the Construction of Road (name of the Road) at the right hand corner of the envelope within two (2) weeks from the dale of this publication and addressed to: The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Transport Ahmadu Bello Way, P.MP.B. 1384, Ilorin Kwara State, Nigeria, Submission of Bid closes on Tuesday, 28th December, 2021 at 12 noon, while opening of Bids follows immediately
General Information
a. Bids must be in English language and signed by an official authorized by the bidder,
b. Bids submitted after the deadline for submission would be returned-opened
c. Successful Contracting firms may be required to present original copies of their documents before award;
d. Nothing in this Advertisement shall be considered a commitment on the part of Kwara State Ministry of Works nor shall it entitle the responding companies to seek any indemnity from Kwara State Ministry of Works by virtue of Contractors/consulting firms having responded to the advertisement
e. The Kwara State Ministry of Works is not bound to pre-quality any bidder and
reserves the right to annul the procurement process at any time without incurring any liability in accordance with section 38 of the Kwara State Public Procurement Law, 2018 as amended
