CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTERESTS FOR SPA II PROJECT PARTNERS
ActionAid Nigeria is seeking partners to implement her Strategic Partnership Agreement (SPA II) Project across selected states in Nigeria.
ActionAid Nigeria is a member of ActionAid federation, a global alliance of organisations focusing on rights, poverty eradication and social transformation in 45 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas. ActionAid works with People living in Poverty, the poor and excluded, promoting values and commitment in civil society, institutions, and Government with the aim of achieving structural changes to eradicate injustice and poverty in the world.
About the Project
The SPA II project is a four-year (2022 – 2025) project funded by Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA). The project aims to improve the realisation of fundamental human and democratic rights and improved, sustainable livelihoods, resilience and protection for young people, especially young women living in marginalisation, including in disaster and protracted crises contexts.
The Call
The call for Expression of Interest is targeted:
(1) Youth led/youth focused organizations based in Akwa-Ibom, Borno, Enugu, Lagos, and FCT; and
(2) Youth led organizations /movements in these states who are also influencing policies at the national level.
The SPA Nigeria project will support youth organizations and networks/movements with:
(1) Multi-year grant (for up to 3 years) in the project’s selected states and networks/movements in Nigeria
(2) Tailored capacity building support to the grantees to address institutional and program related gaps.
The selected partner will be expected to undertake tasks and deliver results in line with objectives of the project.
Expression of Interest Requirements
Interested organisations are expected to submit the following as maximum requirements
(1) Organisational chart (describing the different management levels of the organisation)
(2) List of Board of Trustees/Directors (with beginning and end dates of terms and short bios/résumé)
(3) List of key management personnel (with short bios/resumes)
(4) Organisational profile, indicating the year of establishment, staff strength, projects implemented and location, the extent to which stakeholders (women, men, children, particularly young people) were involved in the implementation process
(5) Training attended by staff and position of staff attending
(6) At least two references from notable individuals/organisations familiar with your organization
(7) Detailed and verifiable description of similar actions managed by your organisation over the past three years
(8) Copy of organisation’s most recent independent annual financial audit report and/or at least 2 years financial report
(9) Evidence of organisation’s legal status; registration with relevant authorities
(The above requirements are specific to NGOs, CBOs and networks interested in submitting their Expression of Interest (EoI).
Interested organisations should send a complete proposal with Title: Application for SPA II Partnership, adhering strictly to the guidelines set out above and sent to Procurement.Nigeria@actionaid.org on or before Wednesday 16 March 2022.
Please Note:
(1) Only youth led/youth focused organisations will be considered for this application.
(2) The organization must have knowledge and expertise on the project’s thematic focus (youth democratic spaces, Gender Responsive Public Service, Public Finance Management, policy engagement, climate Justice, and resilience and protection)
(3) Located within the project state, local presence in the project locations. With strong community presence
(4) Knowledge of and robust relationship with stakeholders
(5) Strong and robust systems; organizational capacity, financial system, M &E system
(6) Knowledge of youth/social movements in Nigeria
