1. This request for expression of interest follows the General Procurement Notice for this programme that appeared in African Development Bank Group Internet Website (www.afdb.org) of 11th March, 2015.
2. The Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) has received financing from the African Development Bank (the Bank), towards the cost of Agricultural Transformation Agenda Support Program- Phase1 (ATASP-1) in Nigeria and intends to apply part of the agreed amount to finance payments under the contract for the Conduct of Environmental and Social Audit Studies for ATASP-1 Staple Crops Processing Zones.
3. The services included under this consultancy is audit studies to determine the extent of its compliance with the project Environmental and Social Management or Action plan and or environmental/social conditionality in the project four (4) Zonal Program Implementation Units (ZPIUS), located at Adani – Omor, Bida Badeggi, Kebbi – Sokoto and Kano – Jigawa Zones.
4. The Executing Agency, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) through its ATASP-1 NPCT now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interests in providing these services. Interested Consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (firm brochure, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, and availability of appropriate skills among staff etc.).
5. Consultants may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.
6. The estimated duration of the assignment is ten (10) weeks and the estimated starting date is 1st September, 2022.
7. Eligibility Criteria, establishment of the shortlist and selection procedure shall be in accordance with the procurement policy for the Bank Group funded operation (Policy), October 2015 which is available on the Banks website at https://www.afdb.org/en/projects-and-operations/procurement/new-procurement-policy. Only shortlisted candidate will be contacted.
