INVITATION TO TENDER FOR PROCUREMENT OF MEDICAL EQUIPMENT UNDER 2022 CAPITAL PROJECTS
INTRODUCTION
The Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital is established with the objective of providing postgraduate training for health personnel, research as well as offering tertiary health services for its catchment area and the country in general. The hospital is desirous of engaging a competent and reputable company with relevant experience, requisite expertise and good track record to submit the tender for procurement of hospital and specialised equipments and constructions under 2022 capital budget appropriation.

LOT 1C: Dry Cleaning Machine for Training in School of Laundry and Dry Cleaning Technology
LOT 1D: Paediatric Bronchoscope and Accessories
LOT 1E: Lens Surfacing Machine
LOT 2: Supply, Installation of Specialized Medical Equipment Consumables and Training
LOT 2A: Electroencephalogram (EEG) Machine
LOT 2B: Polarized Light Microscope
LOT 2C: Transesophageal Echocardiography
LOT 2D: Fibreoptic choledochoscope
LOT 2E: Thompsons Abdominal Retractor
LOT 2F: Endoscopy Tower
LOT 3: Supply, Installation of Hospital Equipment and training at Kabo General Hospital
WORKS/CONSTRUCTIONS
LOT 4: Construction of Primary Health Care Centre at Gurungawa Ward in Kumbotso Federal Constituency Kano State
LOT 5: Construction of Isolation Center in Kabo General Hospital of Kano State
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Each bidder must have the following as the minimum qualification that must be met to make the company eligible. Thus, the interested firm should submit two (2) bound documents duly signed, paginated, separated by dividers and arranged in the order outlined here under
a. Evidence of Certificate of Incorporation issued by Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) including form CAC1,CAC 2 and CAC7;
b. Evidence of Company’s Income Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years (2019, 2020 & 2021) expiring on 31st December, 2022;
c. Evidence of current Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Compliance Certificate Valid 31 December, 2022
d. Evidence of current Pension Clearance Certificate valid 31st December, 2022
e. Evidence of Current Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) Clearance certificate valid till 31st December, 2022 Evidence with Registration on the National Database of Federal Contractors, Consultants and services providers by submission of Interim Registration Report (IRR) expiring on 31st December, 2022 or valid certificate issued by BPP
g. Sworn Affidavit disclosing whether or not any officer of the relevant committee of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano or the Bureau of Public Procurement is a former or present Director, Shareholder or has any peculiar interest in the bidder and to confirm that all information presented in its bids are true and correct in all particulars
h. Company’s Audited Accounts for the last three (3) years 2019,2020 and 2021 valid till 31 December, 2022;
i. Reference Letter from a reputable commercial bank indicating willingness to provide Credit Facility for the execution of the supply when needed.
j. Company’s profile with Curriculum Vitae of the key staff to be deployed for the project, including copies of Academic/professional qualifications;
k. Verifiable documentary Evidence of at least three (3) similar jobs executed in the last five (5) years including letters of awards and job completion certificate.
l. Letter of Authorization from the Original Equipment Manufacturers listed in the Approved Policy for Procurement of Health and Medical Equipment for Tertiary Hospitals in Nigeria,
m. For Joint Ventures/Partnership, Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) should be provided (CAC, Tax Clearance Certificate, pension Compliance Certificate, ITF Compliance Certificate, NSITF Compliance Certificate, IRR & Sworn Affidavit are compulsory for each Joint Venture Partner)
n. All documents for submission must be transmitted with a Covering/Forwarding Letter under the Company/Firm’s Letter Head Paper bearing amongst others, the Registration Number (CR) as issued by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Contact Address, Telephone Number (preferably GSM No.) and e-mail address. The letter head Paper must bear the Names and Nationalities of the Directors of the Company at the bott
om of the page, duly signed by the authorised officer of the firm
COLLECTION OF TENDER DOCUMENTS
Interested companies are to collect the standard bidding documents (SBD) from the office of the Asst. Director (Procurement), Admin Annex, Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital on evidence of payment of a non-refundable fee of Ten Thousand Naira Only (N10,000.00) per lot, paid into the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital’s Remita Account in any reputable Commercial Bank in Nigeria. Collection of Tender documents commences from Monday 22 August, 2022 to 31st October, 2022 within the official working hours
SUBMISSION OF TENDER DOCUMENTS
Prospective bidders are to submit bid for each of the lot desired, two (2) hard copies each of the technical and financial bids with soft copy of the financial bid only in MS Excel Format, Packaged separately in sealed envelopes and clearly marked as “Technical Bid” or “Financial Bid”. Thereafter, put the two sealed envelopes together in a bigger envelope sealed and addressed to the

Each envelop should be clearly marked with the name of the project and lot number. Furthermore, the reverse of each sealed envelope should have the name and address of the bidder and drop in the designated Tender Box at the office Chief Medical Director stated above not later than 12:00 noon on Monday 3rd October, 2022.
OPENING OF TECHNICAL BIDS
The technical bids will be opened immediately after the deadline for submission at 12:00 noon on Monday 3rd October, 2022 in the Board Room of the New Admin Block. Please ensure that you sign the bid submission register in the Office of the Chief Medical Director at New Admin Block. GENERAL INFORMATION
i. Bids must be in English Language and signed by an official authorised by the bidder;
ii. Bids submitted after the deadline for submission would be returned un-opened.
iii. All cost will be borne by the bidder
iv. Bidder should not bid for more than two (2) lots
v. Only pre-qualified bidders at technical evaluation will be invited at a later date for financial bids opening, while the financial bids of un-successful bidders will be returned un-opened;
vi. Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital is not bound to pre-qualify any bidder and reserves the right to annul the Procurement process at any time without incurring any liabilities in accordance with Section 28 of the Public Procurement Act 2007
