GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE FOR INNOVATION DEVELOPMENT AND EFFECTIVENESS IN THE ACQUISITION OF SKILLS (IDEAS) PROJECT

The Government of Federal Republic of Nigeria has received financing in the amount of US$200,000,000,00 (Two Hundred Million Dollars) equivalent from the World Bank toward the cost of the Innovation Development and Effectiveness in The Acquisition of Skills (IDEAS) Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, non-consulting services, innovation grants and consulting services to be procured under this project.
The project will include the following components:
(i) Incentivizing public-private partnerships for enhanced quality and labour-market orientation of Skills Development in Public Technical Colleges.
(ii) Improving skills formation for the informal sector
(iii) Increasing the availability of competent and motivated technical teachers and instructors in the Nigerian skills space.
(iv) Strengthening the Regulatory Environment and Public Management Capacities for market-oriented Skills Development.
The goods, works, non-consulting services and consulting services will be procured through open international/national competitive procurement includes: TVET HRSSD Consultants, TVET Workshop Equipment, ICT equipment, TVET Training, Innovation Grant Facilities.
Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (November 2020) (Procurement Regulations) and is open to all eligible firms and individuals as defined in tile Procurement Regulations.
Specific procurement notices for contracts subject to open International/National competitive procurement will be announced, as they become available, on the Project’s Website (www.ideasproject.gov.ng), the National Dailies in UN Development Business online and on the World Bank’s external website.
