ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE PROVISION OF SECURITY SERVICES IN AKANU IBIAM FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC, UNWANA
PREAMBLE
In accordance with the Federal Government Policy on Outsourcing of Security Services to qualified, efficient and reputable security service companies, the 9th Governing Council of Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic, Unwana has approved the advertisement of the existing vacancy for the provision of security services in the Polytechnic to enable interested, qualified security service companies to apply.
Applications are requested from interested, qualified, efficient and reputable security service companies in Nigeria to provide effective and efficient security services in Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic, Unwana on contract basis.
REQUIREMENTS
(i) The company must be registered with Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) which is responsible for the registration of private security companies in Nigeria. (Evidence Required).
(ii) The company should have the relevant cognate experience and provide evidence of its previous operations in a tertiary institute similar organization in Nigeria, (Evidence Required).
(iii) The company should have an adequate number of staff to provide effective security coverage of all sections of the Polytechnic campus at all times.
(iv) The company should be licensed to use approved firearms appropriate for the effective security coverage of the Polytechnic. (Evidence Required)
(v) The company should have the relevant materials and equipment necessary for effective security services such as patrol vehicle or motorcycles, torch lights, batons, walkie-talkies, mobile telephones, staff uniforms, boots etc. (Evidence Required)
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
(vi) The security service contract is for a period of one (1) year and renewable annually by the Governing Council, on the recommendation of Management, subject to demonstrable, visible satisfactory performance.
(vii) The monthly contract fee will be negotiated with the Management and determined based on the number of available security beats to be covered throughout the Polytechnic campus and approved by Council.
(viii) All other contract additions or incidental fees that may arise in the course of the provision of security services will be considered and negotiated with Management and approved by Council.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
Interested security service companies should forward ten (10) sets of applications and company profile as well as photocopies of all required documentary evidence stated under the Requirements Section of this advertisement within six (6) weeks from the date of publication of this advertisement (May 12, 2023).
