The objective of this study is to develop local capacity in Ibadan and Oyo State to manage sedimentation and solid waste in a sustainable and efficient manner through supervising a pilot to apply sediment reuse technology at Agodi Lake and drainage channels, and support formulation of sedimentation management strategy which will be led by the government of Oyo State. This study will be implemented in close collaboration with civil works to be implemented as part of IUFMP and will equip the IUFMP Project Implementation Unit (PIU) and other relevant Oyo State Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to implement the pilot and the strategy beyond the duration of this assignment.
