1. The Federal republic of Nigeria has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi- Arid Landscapes (ACRESAL) Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Federal College of Education (T) Staff School – Railway Line Gully Erosion Control (Preliminary Earthworks and Soil Stabilization) in Gombe State.
2. The State Project Management Unit (SPMU) of the Gombe State Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Federal College of Education (T) Staff School Railway Line Gully Erosion Control (Preliminary Earthworks and Soil Stabilization). The Works involves the construction of a total of 21km of concrete channel gully erosion control with 19 culverts, wire fencing and Bioremediations. The Works is expected to be completed within 24 months from the start date. A margin of preference for domestic contractors shall apply. Detailed qualification requirements are contained in the bidding documents.
3. Bidding will be conducted through the international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” procurement in investment project financing Forth Edition, November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”) and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the SPMU via the e-mail address below and inspect the Bidding documents during office hours from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm local time at the address given below.
5. The bidding documents in English Language may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non- refundable fee of Thirty Thousand Naira (NGN30,000.00). The method of payment will be Bank draft in favor of the ACRESAL Gombe or through direct payment into the following bank account: ACRESAL Gombe, 0045651604, TAJ Bank and send the payment evidence to the email address below. The bidding document will be sent to the Bidder by courier upon request and payment of additional fee. 6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 12.00 Noon on Thursday 5th October 2023. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend in person at the address below at 12:00 am local time on Thursday 5th October 2023.
7. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of NGN250.0 million or US$350.0 thousand.
