TENDER FOR THE CONSTRUCTION/REHABILITATION OF CULVERTS AND ROADS IN THE STATE

1. INTRODUCTION
The Kwara State Government in an effort towards improving the socio-economic wellbeing of the people of the state especially in the area of provision of good road infrastructure, wishes to embark on the Construction/rehabilitation of the under listed Culvert and roads in the state.

i. Construction of 12M x 8M Box Culvert along Malete-Shao Road, Moro LGA.
ii. Construction of Akure Neighborhood Road, Adewale Estate, Ilorin (0.830km)
iii. Rehabilitation of Coca-Cola road, Ilorin (03.1KM); and
iv. Rehabilitation of Itamo-Gaa Saka-Madi Road, Ilorin (3.0KM)

2. SCOPE OF WORK
The scope of works includes;
i. Clearing and Earth works
ii. Construction of various sizes of box culverts
iii. Construction of R.C drain of various sizes
iv. Preparation of road formation to base courses level; and
v. Priming, tack coat and Asphaltic Concrete works

3. REQUIREMENTS
Interested contractors must provide the following:
i. Evidence of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission;
ii. Evidence of registration with the Kwara State Government (KWPPA)
iii. Evidence of registration with the relevant professional bodies;
iv. Evidence of registration of firm with COREN
v. Comprehensive company profile
vi. Evidence of technical capability and access to financial resources.
vii. Evidence of financial capability and access to financial resources.
viii. Equipment and technology capability
ix. Evidence of last three years Tax Clearance
x. Evidence of three years of company Audited accounts;
xi. Evidence of VAT registration and
xii. Payment of non-refundable tender fee of N250,000.00 only each for items (i) and (ii) and N500,000 only each for items (iii) and (iv) payable into any of the following accounts.

4. COLLECTION OF BID DOCUMENTS
Interested contractors should upon payment of appropriate non-refundable tender processing fee, obtain bid documents from Tuesday, 5th September, 2023 from the tender secretariat, Ministry of Works, Ilorin.

5. SUBMISSION OF BID DOCUMENTS
Interested contractor in any of the projects should submit three (3) copies of their technical and financial bids in sealed envelope and clearly marked ‘Tender for the construction of Road (name of the road) at the right hand corner of the envelope within two (2) weeks from the date of this publication and addressed to: the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Transport, Ahmadu Bello Way, PMB 1384, Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. Submission of bid closes on Tuesday, 19th September, 2023 at 12 noon, while openings of bids follow immediately.

6. GENERAL INFORMATION
a. Bids must be in English language and signed by an official authorized by the bidder;
b. Bids submitted after deadline for submission would be returned un-opened;
c. Successful contracting firm may be required to present original copies of their documents before award
d. This advert shall not be construed as commitment on the part of the Kwara State Ministry of Works nor shall it entail a company to make any claim(s) whatsoever from the Kwara State Ministry of Works, by virtue of such company having responded to this advertisement;
e. The Kwara State Ministry of Works is not bound to prequalify and bidder reserves the right to annul the procurement process at any time without incurring any liabilities in accordance with section 28 of the Public Procurement ACT 2007.
