EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION OF VENDORS/CONTRACTORS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, REHABILITATION AND SUPPLIES AT DAMATURU YOBE STATE.

Taimako Community Development Initiative (TCDI) is one of the frontline National Non-governmental organizations working in Bauchi, Borno and Yobe States with over a decade experience in providing humanitarian and development services. TCDI was established in 2008 and registered with the Federal Government of Nigeria under the Corporate Affairs Commission (C.A.C.), Abuja on 23rd May 2014 with registration number IT/69569 and other regulatory bodies in the focal states.

TCDI has footprints across the focal states and has been engaging with communities through its network of field workers and volunteers. It has partnered with numerous Government Agencies, National and International NGOs as well as UN Agencies in the design, planning, implementation, and supervision of programmes and activities aimed at improving the lives of rural and urban communities. Currently, TCDI is supporting the population with access to portable water, sanitation and hygiene.

Communities will be reached with access to safe and sufficient water, sanitation and hygiene through rehabilitation of existing nonfunctioning boreholes, construction of new Solar Powered boreholes, construction of sanitation facilities, and other hygiene promotion activities.

The project Contract Packages are as follows;
1. Construction of Solar Powered Boreholes;
2. Rehabilitation of Solar Powered Boreholes;
3. Construction of Block Latrines;
4. Construction of Incinerators;
5. Procurement of Office Furniture;
6. Procurement and Supply of Waste Bins;
7. Procurement of Borehole Maintenance Tool kits;
8. Procurement of Toilet Cleaning Kits;
9. Supply of Equipment for Canal/drainage Cleaning (PPEs/sanitation kits);
10. Supply of Material for Refurbishment of Canal/drainages.

Background

  • TCDI is currently in the process of prequalifying contractors with substantial presence and extensive experience within Northeast Nigeria, for the contractual activities on the components mentioned above. The contracting firms will be working under the direction of the TCDI WASH team and supervised by a technical team consisting of senior members from any of these agencies; WASH Cluster, MoWR, RUWASA, LGA WASH UNIT, and WASHCOMs trained by TCDI.
