DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCTS: PROCUREMENT OF FURNITURE

1. The Government of Federal Republic of Nigeria through the intervention of Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) and Plateau State Government have made available funds for the course Of Universal Basic Education in the state, and the Board intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments under the contract for the manufacturing and supply of classroom furniture in some ECCDE/Primary/Junior Secondary Schools across Plateau State.
2. The Plateau State Universal Basic Education Board wishes to invite reputable manufacturers who must have registered with (plateau SUBEB) to tender for the manufacturing and supply of the Classroom Furniture.
LIST OF PROCUREMENTS: 3RD – 4TH QUARTERS 2021, AND 1ST – 4TH QUARTERS 2022.
S/N Lot No Description Of Project 1 001 manufacture and supply of 597 customized ECCDE hard plastic square tables and 2388 chairs in accordance with SUBEB standard samples 2 002 manufacture and supply of 3009 customized PRIMARY chairs and 3009 desks in hard plastic in accordance with SUBEB standard 3 003 manufacture and supply of 3009 customized JSS chairs and 3009 desks in hard plastic in accordance with SUBEB standard
Collection of bidding documents at the Department of Physical and Engineering Services between the hours of 10:00am and 4:00pm, Monday to Friday daily.
1. Bidders will be conducted through the NCB bidding procedure
2. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the procurement officer and inspect the bidding documents at the office of the director, department of physical and engineering services at the address given below between the hours of 11:00am – 4:00pm each working day.
3. Bidders must come with photocopies of SUBEB receipt for tender fee, proof of pre-qualification for the collection of tender documents.

SUBMISSION:
The following constitute the details for the submission of tender:
1. Tender must be submitted to the procurement officer, plateau state universal basic education board by dropping into designated bid box on or before 10:00 am on Monday 11th November 2024.
2. Tender documents are to be enclosed in two separated envelopes and such envelopes should be packaged in a bigger size envelope, clearly marked with Lot No, on the Right hand side addressed to the Executive Chairman PSUBEB No 7 Dogon Dutse, Jos.
3. Bids must be accompanied with 2.5% of bid price as bid security, obtained from a bank or Insurance Company.
4. Late bids will be rejected.
5. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders/representatives, who are advised to attend.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION
Firms/companies who are interested in bidding for jobs must possess the following eligibility requirements. The company profile MUST include the following.
i. Certificate of registration with corporate affairs commission (CAC)
ii. Detailed company profile
iii. Tax clearance certificate for the past three (3) years ending 2023 and VAT registration Number.
iv. Evidence of Registration with Industrial Training Funds (ITF 2023)
v. Evidence of payment into Plateau State IGR and PLSUBEB accounts for registration with PLSUBEB, Jos.
vi. Registration details can be obtained at the Departments of Physical and Engineering Services of the board
vii. Evidence of completion of similar jobs, i.e satisfactory completion certificates
viii. Any submission of uncertified documents may lead to outright rejection of the bid(s)
ix. Only pre-qualified manufacturers are eligible to tender
SUBMISSION OF PRE-QUALIFICATION DOCUMENTS SHOULD BE ON BEFORE 24TH OCTOBER, 2024 (I.E COMPLETE COMPANY PROFILE, INCLUDING SOFT COPY).
Procedure for registration
i. Payment of N50,000.00 registration fee into IGR Account of the board of internal revenue, using company’s TIN Number obtained from the Board of Internal Revenue (PSBIR)
ii. Payment of N100,000.00 processing fee into SUBEB Account @ FCMB @ British America Junction, Jos, Account Number 2003739098.
iii. Present Bank Teller to SUBEB Accounts Department to obtain SUBEB receipt and registration form.
iv. Proceed to the Physical and Engineering Services Department for computerization and finalization of registration.
v. Submit company profile to the deputy director Physical and Engineering Services Department.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
i. All submission are to be made in English language
ii. Plateau state universal basic education board is not obliged to award the contract to the lowest bidder.
