INVITATION TO TENDER AND INSTRUCTION TO TENDERERS FOR REHABILITATION WORKS
1.0 PREAMBLE
WATERAID NIGERIA with funding support from Caterpillar Foundation under the Advancing Women participation in Green Energy and Sustainable Solution project hereby invites tenders from reputable and qualified companies for the construction/upgrade of water facilities in Idafa Okusiye community in Ikorodu North and in Omole Junior Grammar School in Ojodu Council Development Areas of Lagos respectively.
2.0 SCOPE OF WORK
Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area (LCDA)
LOT 1: Idafa Okusiye community in Ikorodu North
- Rehabilitation of 1 hybrid water system (solar and grid powered) and reticulation to fetching point of 6 tap stands
LOT 2: Omole Junior Grammar school in Ojodu LCDA
- Rehabilitation of 1 hybrid water system (solar and grid powered) and reticulation to sanitation facilities within the school premises.
Please note that interested contractors can only bid for either LOT 1 or LOT 2
3.0 MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
Companies interested in participating in the tendering process are to submit their company profiles which must contain the following:
i. Evidence of registration with the Lagos State Public Procurement Agency (PPA).
ii. Evidence of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
iii. Evidence of Company audited financial account and Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three years (2021, 2022 and 2023).
iv. List of certified Board Members showing their designation on the Board.
v. The forwarding letter submitting the bid documents should be signed by the Chairman of the Board or his/her alternate.
vi. Resume of key technical staff (Geologist or Hydrogeologist, Civil Engineer, and Electro-Mechanical Engineer) with evidence of COREN or COMEG or their equivalent.
vii. Verifiable evidence of similar projects previously undertaken, including letters of awards and Completion Certificates within the past three (3) years; also, indicate the financial value of these similar projects.
viii. Certified copies of company bank statements in the last 6 months.
ix. Description and list of equipment owned by the company relevant to the project, including proof of ownership or lease or license over the equipment.
x. A work plan indicating how the work will be carried out from the start to finish and the number of days required to complete the work.
xi. Evidence of participating in the site visit that will be organized by the LCDA/WaterAid on 26th November 2024 by 10am. Call Godfrey Iloha on the number below for more information.
4.0 collection and submission of tender documents and company profiles
interested bidders are to collect the tender documents at no cost using this link: https://bit.ly/CATtender12_ This shall commence from Tuesday 19th November 2024 too Wednesday 4th December 2024.
Completed tender documents and company profile, which shall be in THREE copies (ONE original, TWO photocopies) containing spreadsheet copy of the completed BOQ and other bid documents are to be submitted in a sealed envelope marked with the company’s Name, at the top left-hand corner, and addressed to:

For LOT 1, sealed envelopes will be received at the Office of the Council Manager, Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area, Isiwu until Tuesday 3rd December 2024 by 10:00am. Bid opening shall follow at 11:00a.m same day Tuesday 3rd December 2024 at the Procurement Unit Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area, Isiwu.
While for LOT 2, sealed envelopes will be received at the Office of the Council Manager, Ojodu Local Council Development Area, Oke-Ira Powerline until Tuesday 3rd December 2024 by 10:00am. Bid opening shall follow at 11:00a.m same day Tuesday 3rd December 2024 at the Procurement Unit of Ojodu Local Council Development Arfea, Oke-Ira Powerline.
5.0 MANDATORY SITE VISIT
A mandatory site visit to locations will be happening on Tuesday 26th November 2024. This will be carried out in conjunction with the WaterAid team and partners.
