INVITATION TO TENDER/PRE-QUALIFICATION FOR PROJECTS EXECUTION
INTRODUCTION
The Jigawa State Government through the Islamic Education Bureau (IEB) hereby invites tender from reputable contractors for construction works.
SCOPE OF THE WORK:
LOT 1 CONSTRUCTION OF 1 BLOCK OF 3 CLASSROOMS AT GDASS BASIRKA LOT 2 CONSTRUCTION OF 1 BLOCK OF 3 CLASSROOMS AT GDASS HARBO TSOHUWA LOT 3 CONSTRUCTION OF 1 BLOCK OF 3 CLASSROOMS AT GDASS KANYA BABBA LOT 4 ONSTRUCTION OF 1 BLOCK OF 3 CLASSROOMS AT GDASS SANKARA LOT 5 CONSTRUCTION OF 1 BLOCK OF 3 CLASSROOMS AT GDASS DANBAZAU LOT 6 CONSTRUCTION OF 1 BLOCK OF 3 CLASSROOMS AT GDASS SHAGARI LOT 7 CONSTRUCTION OF 1 BLOCK OF 3 CLASSROOMS AT GDASS TURABU LOT 8 CONSTRUCTION OF 1 BLOCK OF 3 CLASSROOMS AT GDASS SHUWARI
TENDER REQUIREMENT
Interested and competent companies are required to submit their verifiable evidence profiles including but not limited to the following documents:
a. Certificate of incorporation with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
b. Certified true copy of Memorandum and Articles of Association.
c. Evidence of registration with Jigawa State Due Process & Project Monitoring Bureau
d. Company Audited Accounts for the last one (1) year
e. Tax clearance for the last three (3) years
f. Evidence of financial capability and banking support.
g. Company average annual turnover of not less than One Hundred Million Naira (N100,000,000. 00) only.
h. Evidence of similar projects executed (letters of award and completion certificates) at least three (3) in the last five (5) years.
i. VAT Registration and evidence of past remittance(s).
j. That the company has fulfilled all obligations to pay taxes, pensions and social security contributions.
k. A sworn affidavit certifying as follows:-
i. That documents submitted for pre-qualifications exercise is not only genuine but correct.
ii. That none of the directors of the company has been convicted by any Court of Law.
iii. That the Company is not bankrupt.
iv. That none of the officers of Jigawa State/Local Government is a present director of the company.
l. Any other relevant information that will help in determining the company’s suitability for the work.
m. Any prospective bidder that does not possess any of the above information need not to apply.
COLLECTION OF TENDER
Prospective bidders are required to collect tender documents from the office of the Director Planning, Research and Statistics First Floor old New Secretariat Complex Dutse, from the date of this publication to 28th May 2025 between the hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm from Monday to Thursday and from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, excluding holidays, upon the payment of non-refundable tender fee of Three Hundred Thousand Naira (N300,000.00) only to Jigawa State Government Revenue account 1011289787 at Zenith Bank.
SUBMISSION OF COMPLETED TENDER DOCUMENTS
Pre-qualification and financial bids should be submitted in two different sealed envelopes and labeled “Technical Bid” and “Financial Bid”, respectively, with the company’s name indicated on one side of the envelope. Both envelopes should be enclosed and sealed in one envelope and marked with the project name at the top right hand corner and addressed to: The Secretary Tender Committee, Islamic Education Bureau (IEB) First Floor, Old Block New State Secretariat Dutse, not later than 28th May, 2025 by 12 noon. All documents for submissions must be transmitted with a forwarding letter duly signed by the company’s representative under the company’s letterhead bearing the CAC registration number, contact address, telephone number (preferably mobile phone number) and email address. The financial bid shall contain a bid security of not less than 2% of the quoted bid price by way of bank guarantee or insurance bond issued by reputable bank of insurance company acceptable by the procuring entity. The bid validity period should be 120 days from the deadline of the bid submission date.
OPENING OF BIDS
Bids will be opened immediately after the deadline for submission by 12:00 pm at the STEB Conference Room.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
i. Bids submitted after the deadline for submission will be returned unopened.
ii. Only the financial bids of successful pre-qualified bidders will be opened, while those for un-successful bidders will be returned unopened.
iii. This advert shall not be construed as commitment on the part of IEB, nor shall it entail a company to make any claim(s) whatsoever and/or to seek any indemnity from IEB by virtue of such company having responded to this advert.
iv. All costs will be borne by the bidders as IEB will not be held responsible for any cost or expenses incurred by any interested party in connection with any response to this invitation
v. That IEB reserves the right to annul the procurement process or reject a bid at any time without incurring any liabilities.
vi. Alternative bids will not be accepted.
