REQUEST OF PROPOSAL FOR THE PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLY OF DRUGS AND MEDICAL CONSUMABLES
1. Introduction
The Drugs and Medical Consumables Supply Agency (DMCSA), Kano State, invites reputable and qualified pharmaceutical suppliers and distributors to submit proposals for the supply and delivery of essential drugs and medical consumables to the Agency.
2. Project Overview
RFP Title: Supply of Drugs and Medical Consumables
Location: Kano State, Nigeria
Issuing Organization: Drugs and Medical Consumables Supply Agency (DMCSA), Kano
Type: Open Competitive Bidding
Contract Duration: 12 Months (with supplies on quarterly basis)
3. Scope of Work
The successful bidders will:
- Supply quality-assured essential drugs and medical consumables.
- Deliver items to designated warehouse within specified timelines.
- Comply with national guidelines for handling, packaging, and transportation of medical products.
4. Eligibility Criteria
Interested bidders must:
- Be registered pharmaceutical companies or distributors with current licenses from the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN).
- Be registered with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in Nigeria.
- Demonstrate at least 3 years of relevant experience in drug and medical consumables supply.
- Show evidence of financial capability (bank reference letter and/or audited financial reports for the last 2 years).
- Provide a verifiable physical address and functional communication channels.
5. Proposal Requirements
- Company profile and signed cover letter
- Technical Proposal: product list, manufacturer details
- Financial Proposal: unit price, total cost, tax clearance
- Warranty and shelf-life guarantees
- Certifications (PCN, NAFDAC, ISO if applicable)
6. Evaluation Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated based on:
- Compliance with regulatory provisions
- Compliance with technical specifications
- Pricing and value for money
- Proven track record and references
7. Submission Guidelines
All proposals must be written in English and submitted in both hard and soft copies (PDF format).
Sealed envelopes should be clearly marked: “Proposal for Supply of Drugs and Medical Consumables – DMCSA, Kano”
