KANO STATE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND NATURAL RESOURCES PROCUREMENT UNIT
INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR THE SUPPLY OF 3,000METRIC TONS (60,000BAGS) OF GRADE ‘A’ COMPOUND (NPK 20:10:10) FERTILIZER

(1) INTRODUCTION
Limited access to essential agricultural inputs, particularly fertilizers, by smallholder farmers to inadequate or delayed fertilizer supply negatively affects crop yields, food security, and farmer incomes. The State Government seeks to bridge this gap by ensuring timely procurement and efficient distribution of fertilizers to smallholder farmers to enhance food production, household income, and State food security.

Towards this objective, the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Kano State, wishes to call on all eligible and interested companies to apply for the supply of fertilizer as indicated below:

(2) SUBMISSION OF PRE-QUALIFICATION DOCUMENTS:
Interested companies should submit the following pre-qualified documents to the Office of the DPR&S/Secretary SMTB, Ministry of Agriculture & Natural Resources, No. 2 Bida Road, Off Post Office Road, Kano on or before 12th August, 2025 not later than 12:00noon.

(3) THE REQUIREMENTS FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION:
(A) Evidence of experience as a prime contractor on at least one project within last 5 years

(B) Memorandum, and Articles of Association (Name of Directors with their addresses)

(C) Have a project manager of between 3-5 years experience;

(D) Organizational structure and names of key personnel with copies of CVs & certificates;

(E) Evidence of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission

(F) Evidence of Tax Clearance Certificate (TCC) for the last 3 years;

(G) Annual Turnover and audited statement of account of the company for last 3 years;

(H) VAT registration, Evidence of Past VAT remittances & Tax Identification Number (TIN)

(I) Evidence for settlement of withholding taxes due to the State; and

(J) Evidence of Registration with Due Process Bureau & Kano State Works Reg Board

(4) IMPORTANT NOTICE:
(i) Late submission of pre-qualification documents will not be entertained

(ii) Only companies/contractors that are adjudged successful in the pre-qualification screening exercise shall be invited to collect tender documents upon payment of a non-refundable fee of N250,000.00 payable to the Account Section of the Ministry

(iii) Application for expression of interest accompanied by the above listed documents should be forwarded in appropriately sealed envelopes boldly marked at the Top left corner: THE SUPPLY OF 3,000 METRIC TONS (60,000 BAGS) OF ‘GRADE A’ COMPOUND (NPK 20:10:10) FERTILIZER:  To the DPR & S/Secretary SMTB, Ministry of Agriculture & Natural Resources, No. 2 Bida Road, Off Post Off Road, Kano.

(iv) This advertisement will not be a commitment on the part of Kano State Government, nor shall entail that those that submitted documents could make claim (s) whatsoever and/or seek any indemnity from Kano State Government or its State Ministry of Health of this publication.
