INVITATION TO TENDER FOR SUPPLY OF THEATRE AND CLASSROOM SEATS TO BAYERO UNIVERSITY, KANO 
  1. INTRODUCTION

The Bayero University, Kano intends to furnish some of its Theatres and Classrooms to improve e various Teaching and Learning Environments. The component herein is to be financed through the funding of revitalization of Public Universities recently allocated.

In compliance with the Public Procurement Act, 2007 and the Bureau of Public Procurement’s guidelines, the University invites interested, competent and reputable Contractors/Companies to Tender for the Procurement of Goods as described below.

LOT 1   

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF LECTURE THEATRE SEATS FOR THE NEWLY CONSTRUCTED DEPARTMENTS OF GEOLOGY, MICROBIOLOGY AND MECHATRONICS ENGINEERING

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF BAYERO UNIVERSITY, KANO CUSTOMISED SEATS FOR THE CONVOCATION ARENA AT THE NEW CAMPUS

Interested bidders are required to submit the following documents:

  1. Evidence of Certificate of Incorporation with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) including forms CAC2 and CAC7.
  2. Evidence of Company Income’s Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years valid till 31st December, 2019; with minimum average turnover of N50million.
  3. Evidence of current Pension Compliance Certificate valid till 31st December, 2019.
  4. Evidence of current Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Compliance Certificate valid till 31st December, 2019.
  5. Evidence of current Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) Compliance Certificate valid till 31stDecember, 2019.
  6. Evidence of Registration on the National Database of Federal Contractors, Consultants and Service Providers by submission of Interim Registration Report (IRR) expiring 1/1/2020 or valid Certificate issued by BPP.
  7. Sworn Affidavit affirming that none of the officers of the World Bank, Bayero University, Kano or Bureau of Public Procurement is a former or present Director, Shareholder or has any pecuniary interest in the bidder and to confirm that all information being provided by the Company are true and correct in all particulars.
  8. Company’s Audited Accounts for the last three (3) years (i.e., 2016, 2017 & 2018).
  9. Evidence of financial capability to execute the project including Reference Letter from a reputable commercial bank indicating willingness to provide credit facility for the execution of the project when needed.
  10. Company profile with the curriculum vitae of key staff to be deployed for the project including copies of their Academic/Professional qualifications.
  11. Verifiable documentary evidence of at least three (3) similar jobs executed in the last five (5) years including Letters of Awards, Valuation Certificates, Job Completion Certificates and Photographs of the Projects.
  12. List of Plant/Equipments with proof of ownership/lease (where applicable).
  13. For Joint Venture/Partnership, Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) should be provided.
  14. Letter of Consent to allow for verification of all documents submitted.
  15. All documents for submission must be submitted with a covering/forwarding letter under the Company/Firm’s Letter Head Paper bearing amongst others, the Registration Number (RC) as issued by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Contact Address, Telephone Numbers (preferably GSM No.), and e-mail address. The Letterhead Paper must bear the Names and Nationalities of the Directors of the Company at the bottom of the page, duly signed by the authorized officer of the Firm.
  • COLLECTION OF TENDER DOCUMENTS

Interested Companies are to collect the Standard Bidding Document (SBD) from the Office of the Director, Procurement, New Campus, Bayero University, Kano on evidence of payment of a non-refundable fee of N10,000.00 per Lot paid into the Bayero University, Kano’s Remita account in any commercial Bank.

  • SUBMISSION OF TENDER DOCUMENTS

Prospective bidders are to submit bid for each of the Lot desired, two (2) hard copies each of the Technical and Financial bids packaged separately in sealed envelopes and clearly marked as “Technical Bid” or“Financial Bid”.  Thereafter, put the two sealed envelopes together in a bigger sealed envelope addressed to The Director, Procurement Unit, Bayero University, P.M.B. 3011, Kano-Nigeria and clearly marked with the name of the project and the Lot Number. Furthermore, the reverse of each sealed envelope should have the name and address of the bidder, and drop in the designated Tender Box at the Procurement Unit, Bayero University, Kano on or before 22nd April, 2019.

The Technical Bids will be opened immediately after the deadline for submission by 12 noon Monday, 22nd April, 2019 in the Procurement Unit’s Boardroom, Faculty of Law Complex, New Campus, Bayero University, Kano in the presence of bidders or their representatives, while the financial bids of the bidders that scale Technical Evaluation will be opened at a later date to be communicated. Please, ensure that you sign the bid submission Register in the Procurement Unit’s Boardroom, as the Bayero University, Kano will not be held liable for misplaced or wrongly submitted bids.   • GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Bid must be in English language and signed by an official authorized by the bidder.
  • Profiles should be paginated and proper table of contents be provided to ease location of documents. Each page of the Profile must be signed by appropriate representative of the Bidder.
  • Bids submitted after the deadline for submission would be returned un-opened.
  • Bidders should not bid for more than two (2) Lots.
  • All costs will be borne by the bidders.
  • All pre-qualified bidders will be contacted at a later date for financial bid opening, while unsuccessful bids will be returned un-opened.
  • The Bayero University, Kano is not bound to pre-qualify any bidder and reserves the right to annul the Procurement Process at any time without incurring any liabilities in accordance with Section 28 of the Public Procurement Act 2007.
