CATHOLIC RELIEF SERVICES – CRS
INVITATION TO TENDER
REQUEST FOR QUOTATION (RFQ) RAPID RESPONSE CORE RELIEF KIT (SHELTER AND WASH NFI FOR 1000 HH) COMMUNITIES IN BORNO
RFQ NO: RFQ 1819
PROJECT EXECUTING AGENCY: CATHOLIC RELIEF SERVICES-UNITED STATES CONFERENCE OF CATHOLIC BISHOPS

INTRODUCTION:
CATHOLIC RELIEF SERVICES – United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (CRS) is an international non-governmental organization supporting relief and development work in over 100 countries around the world in five (5) continents. CRS assists vulnerable people based on their needs regardless of religion, ethnicity, nationality, gender or colour. CRS has operated in Nigeria since the year 2000, with projects implemented in 32 of the country’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory with an extensive grassroots network and tremendous capacity to reach the rural poor.

Context Overview: The Northeast conflict, now in its tenth year, has increased the vulnerability of most local populations in the three affected states of Borno, Adamawa and Yobe, In response to the Northeast emergency, CRS is providing access to life-saving food; nutrition; shelter, and water, sanitation and hygiene resources and services for IDPs and conflict-affected host communities.

Justification: Through ongoing CRS response programming, shelter and WASH non-food items (NFI) have been identified by affected populations as a critical need. Recently displaced persons or those affected by natural disasters have reduced resources to access essential household items. Often the most recently displaced HHs are not integrated into ongoing NFl or other assistance programs, which are already at capacity for most actors, until weeks or months after their displacement.

Program Goal: CRS, through the Rapid Response Mechanism Program, will deliver timely life-saving assistance to highly vulnerable populations without access to longer-term assistance. By this invitation to tender CRS invites qualified applicants with relevant past experience of supplying NGOS with Non Food Items (NFF), to include kitchen, hygiene and shelter items, to submit applications.
