ISSUANCE DATE: 6TH JUNE, 2019
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 21st June, 2019
Established in 1949, SOS Children’s Villages is a dynamic social development international non-for-profit organization working globally to meet the needs and protect the rights of children without adequate parental care (children who have lost parental care or about to lose parental care). In SOS Children’s villages, we focus on the child’s development into a self-supporting and contributing member of society. Understanding that a child’s development to his or her full potentials is best realized in a caring family environment and recognizing the role of the child in his/her own development, as well as the role of his/her family, community, state and other service providers, we work together with all relevant stakeholders to find the most appropriate response to the situation of children at risk of losing parental care and those without parental care. Based on the specific situation ad in the best interested of the child, we work together with the other relevant stakeholders to respond with relevant interventions, making best use of available resources, and so have a greater impact on the situation of the children within our target group.
In Nigeria, we have over 45 years’ experience in supporting the holistic development of children and young people without or at risk of losing parental care into a self-supporting and contributing member of society. We have presence in Lagos, Ogun, Plateau, Kaduna, Oyo, Borno State and the FCT Abuja.
SOS Children’s Villages Nigeria (SOS-CVN) is currently restructuring her Education Programmes with the intent to make them more impactful to our target. The restructuring will require a change in the management of SOS-CVN Schools in Lagos, Abuja and Plateau, to better place education stakeholders to manage and sustain the schools under a new ownership structure.
Based on the above, SOS-CVN is seeking the service of a consultant to manage the transition process for the current management to the new management.
