INVITATION FOR THE EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
(PRE-QUALIFICATION) FOR RESPECTIVE WORK AREAS

A. INTRODUCTION
The Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading (NBET) is desirous to undertake pre-qualification exercise for the provision of a range of services under the year 2020 budget. Consequently, and in compliance with the relevant provisions of the Public Procurement Act 2007, NBET wishes to invite competent and reputable contractors to indicate interest to pre-qualify to undertake the respective services within the work areas highlighted below.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Interested and competent contractors wishing to provide NBET with the services highlighted in the work areas must submit the following documents with expression of interest for pre-qualification:
i. Evidence of registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) including FormsCAC 2 and 7
ii. Evidence of registration with National Data Base of Federal Contractors, Consultants and Service Providers by inclusion of an Interim Registration Report (IRR) expiring on30 June, 2020 or valid Certificate issued by BPP
iii. Evidence of Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years 2017,2018 &2019) valid till 31st December, 2020
iv. Evidence of current Pension Compliance Certificate valid till 31st December, 2020
v. Evidence of current Industrial Training Fund (ITF) compliance certificate valid till 31st December, 2020
vi. Evidence of Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund compliance certificate valid till 31st December, 2020
vii. Company profile including curriculum vitae of key personnel with copies of academic/professional certificates
viii. Current company audited accounts for the last three financial years signed by a registered auditor 2017, 2018 & 2019)
ix. Evidence of financial capability to execute the project by submission of Reference Letter from a reputable commercial bank in Nigeria, indicating willingness to provide credit facility for the execution of the project needed
x. Sworn Affidavit disclosing whether or not any officer of the relevant committees of the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading Plc or the Bureau of Public Procurement is a former or present Director, shareholder or has any pecuniary interest in the bidder and to confirm that all information presented in its bid are true and correct in all particulars
xi. Verifiable documentary evidence of at least three (3) similar Jobs executed in the last five (5) years including Letters of Awards, Valuation certificates, Job CompletionCertificates and photographs of the projects
xii. For Consulting Services: Evidence of registration with relevant professional body(ies):
xiii. All documents for submission must be transmitted with a Covering/Forwarding letter under the Company/Firm’s Letterhead paper bearing amongst others; the Registration Number (RC) as issued by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). Contact Address, Telephone Number (preferably GSM no.), and e-mail address. The Letterhead paper must bear the names and nationalities of the Directors of the company at the bottom of the page, duly signed by the authorized officer of the firm.
• Please note that the photography services required are those of a photo documentation specialist and event photography

Collection of Bid Documents for category 1:
Interested bidders are to make non-refundable online payment of N10,000 for each LOT No. through Remita to Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading Plc as tender fee and thereafter pickup bid documents from NBET office (2 Floor) with evidence of payment (receipt).

SUBMISSION:
Pre-qualification documents/Expression of Interest accompanied by the above listed documents should be forwarded appropriately sealed envelope boldly marked on the top left corner.

OPENING OF EXPRESSION OF INTEREST AND PREQUALIFICATION DOCUMENTS
The EOI and pre-qualification documents will be opened immediately after the deadline for submission as follows:
Category 1 and 2: 12:00 noon on Monday, 23rd March, 2020
Category 3 and 4: 12:00 noon on Monday, 2nd March, 2020

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
1. Category 1: Only pre-qualified bidders at technical evaluation will be invited at a later date for financial bids opening, while the financial bids of un-successful bidders will be returned un-opened;
2. Category 2, 3 & 4: Only prequalified/shortlisted firms will be contacted at a later date for collection of Financial bids and Request for Proposals respectively;
3. Bidders should not bid for more than two (2) Lots
4. NBET reserves the right to verify the authenticity of any claims made in the document(s) submitted by companies.
5. Failure to comply with the instructions and provide any required document(s)may automatically result in disqualification.
6. Submission of false documents is an offence and would lead to disqualification and prosecution.
