Zamfara State Government Of Nigeria- Invitation To Tender For The Development Of Gusau Green Economic City (GGEC) Project (6 Lots)

DEADLINE: 9TH AUGUST, 2022 ZAMFARA STATE GOVERNMENT OF NIGERIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY INVITATION TO TENDER FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF GUSAU GREEN ECONOMIC CITY (GGEC) PROJECT

In his quest to revive the economic activities and bring about sustainable and economic development in the state, the Executive Governor of Zamfara State, His Excellency, Dr. Bello M Mohammed MON, FSESN (Shatiiman Sokoto), has approved the development of the stale of the art Gusau Green Economic City” in Gusau the Zamfara State capital to be financed through a Sukuk Project Financing Structure.

The Project is unequivocally going to make Gusau a destination for economic tourism especially on its renowned livestock market and Mining in Nigeria. The Project also aimed to enhance and house various economic activities with the prospect of creating and boosting job opportunities for the teeming youths, wealth creation and as well a center for trade and investment attraction, with both local and foreign investors as target partners in the state. That will not only bring Zamfara State to limelight, but also make it an economic hub to boast about. The relative significant value of this initiative can be easily put as below.

(i) The incorporation of locals by prospective foreign investors will widely curb the menace of unemployment among the youth, hence, resulting to a proper manifestation of their resourcefulness and utilizing and benefiting from their true capacity and potentials and at the same time engaging them to be self-reliant.

(ii) It will help a great deal in augmenting the state’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) through its popular livestock and mining business.

(iii) It will aid in the rapid economic recovery from the damages and havoc perpetrated by the banditry, thereby making infrastructural development more feasible. Among other associated factors.

(iv) It will be an array of motivated, talented, and ambitious individuals, whereby the government will harness their potentials and foster career, skills, and human development.

It is in this view, that in line with the Zamfara State Guideline for Public Procurement that the Ministry of Commerce and Industry which is the coordinating ministry under the leadership of the Hon Commissioner, Hon. Yazeed Shehu Umar call on all interested contractors to bid for the following projects categorized into Six (6) Lots:

Gusau Green Economic City (GGEC) Project.

Lot 1- Market District Construction of shopping malls and Outlets

Construction of Gusau Gold Souk

Construction of Shopping Stalls Open

Construction of Livestock Market

Construction of Abattoir with Veterinary Clinic Lot 2- Industrial District Construction of Industrial Layout

Construction of Trailer Parks

Construction of Warehouses

Construction of a Layout for all State Factories Lot 3- Institutional District Construction of Entrepreneurship Training Centre Construction of Skills Acquisition and Incubation Centre

Construction of Medical and Pharmaceutical Facilities

Construction of Schools layout Construction of Islamic Centre Lot 4- Service District Construction of suitable layout for filling Stations

Construction of Water Houses and Facilities

Construction of Renewable Energy Power Houses and Facilities

Construction of Waste Disposal System Lot 5–Hospitality District Construction of suitable layout for New Housing Development

Construction of Parks and Recreational Facilities

Construction of suitable layout for Hotels and Hospitality

Construction of Mosque Lot 6- Infrastructure Construction of Main Roads and drainage Network

Construction and Installation of Main Electrification Network

Construction of Main Water Reticulations Network

Interested eligible bidders/Vendors may obtain further information from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Zamfara State Secretariat, Gusau. Bidders/Vendors must satisfy major requirements in addition to those contained in the standard bidding documents as below.

Evidence of Registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria; Registration with Zamfara BPP: Evidence of VAT Registration and 3-years Tax Clearance Certificate; Evidence of current Pencom Certificate, ITF, NSITF Compliance Certificate; Audited Accounts for three (3) years A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested eligible bidders/vendors upon payment of non-refundable fees of fifty Thousand naira only (N50,000.000)

Bids must be delivered to Zamfara State Ministry of Commerce and Industry within two weeks of this publication ( 9, August 2022).

Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the vendors/bidders designated representatives at Zamfara State Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Gusau by 12:00 noon on the same day.
