INVITATION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION/INVITATION TO TENDER
a. PREAMBLE
The Government of Jigawa State in its effort to increase access to potable water supply in the small towns wish to embark, through the Small Towns Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (STOWA), hereby invites tenders from reputable contractors for the upgrading and conversion of 9no motorized water supply schemes to solar powered system in Gumel,Birnin Kudu,Ringim and Hadejia zone respectively
SCOPE OF WORK
i. Upgrading and conversion of 7no. motorized water supply schemes to solar powered system at Danbaki (Sule Tankarkar LGA),Nagwamatse (Sule Tankarkar LGA),Basu (Sule Tankarkar LGA) and Maimazari (Sule Tankarkar LGA) in Gumel zone, Tsangarwa (Gwaram LGA),Farin Dutse (Gwaram LGA),and Kwarko (Gwaram LGA) in Birnin Kudu zone(LOT-1).
ii. Upgrading and conversion of 1 no. motorized water supply scheme to solar powered system at Sugungu (Garki LGA) in Ringim zone (LOT-2).
iii. Upgrading and conversion of 1no. motorized water supply scheme to solar powered system at Kadira (Guri LGA) in Hadejia zone (LOT-3).
b. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
Companies interested in the project are to submit company profile which must contain the following:
a. Certificate of incorporation/business name registration
b. Certified true copy of memorandum and article of association
c. Tax clearance for the last three years
d. Registration with state works registration board in relevant category
e. Company’s audited account for the last one year
f. Evidence of financial capability and Banking support
g. Company profile, organogram and resume of relevant key technical staff, including individual attestation of availability. Include copies of professional certificates with seal and endorsement
h. Verifiable evidence of similar projects previously undertaken within the past three years.
i. Description and list of relevant construction/building equipment
j. Annual turnover of not less than N50 million
k. VAT registration and evidence of past remittance
l. A sworn affidavit certifying as follows:
• That document submitted for the prequalification exercise are not only genuine but correct
• That the none of the director of the company has been convicted by any court law
• That the company is not bankrupt
• That the none of the officers of Jigawa State/Local government is a present or former director of the company
c. COLLECTION AND SUBMISSION OF TENDER DOCUMENTS AND COMPANY PROFILE
Interested bidders are to collect bid documents from the office of the secretary procurement committee Jigawa state, STOWA, Shuwarin, kiyawa Road, Dutse on payment of non-refundable tender fee of Fifteen Thousand Naira only (N15,000.00).Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 days (4weeks) after Bid opening and shall be accompanied with bid security of 2% of the bid price either in form of bank draft or bank guarantee delivered to

Collection of tender documents shall commence on Thursday 12th December, 2019 between 9:00am to 4:00 pm Mondays to Fridays, except on public holidays. Completed tender documents and company profile with the covering letter of company’s letter head in three copies (one original and two photocopies) shall be submitted in sealed envelope marked with company’s bid invitation number at the top left hand corner, and addressed to:

To STOWA office Shuwarin before 12:00 hours Friday 27th December, 2019. Bid opening shall take place at the conference hall of the Jigawa State Ministry of Water Resources by 12.00Noon same day. The representatives of the bidders and the general public are invited to witness the public opening of bid.
