REQUEST FOR CONSULTANT
1. INTRODUCTION
This is to inform members of the general public that as part of the Oyo State Government’s efforts at boosting the economy and internal revenue generation through agribusiness, the State Government intends to establish agro-allied industrial clusters across the Seven (7) geopolitical zones of the State. In this regard, applications are invited from suitably qualified Consultants to carry out feasibility studies with a view to determining the economic viability or otherwise of establishing’ the proposed Projects across the Zones,
2. The Consultant shall undertake and perform the following tasks:
I. Carry out a working visit to the 7 Geo-Political Zones of the State (i.e Ibadan 1 & 2, Oke-Ogun 1 & 2, Ogbomoso, Oyo and Ibarapa) and determine the prevalent agric produce/crops leveraging on comparative advantages of the produce
II. Determine the economic viability of establishing industrial processing plants that will add value to the raw agric produce/crops prevalent in the respective Zones;
III. Come up with the lists of relevant processing equipment, their Technical Specifications and costs;
IV. Prepare comprehensive Technical and Financial reports required for the establishment of the processing Plants;
V. Provide information on the cost of conducting thorough Feasibility studies across the 7 Geo-Political Zones of the State;
VI. Submit a bankable Technical/Financial report to the State Government on the Industrial Clusters and
VII. Provide other relevant information that will facilitate the success and sustainability of the proposed Projects.
3. For further information and details on the proposed Projects, prospective applicants are requested to contact the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Trade, industry, Investment & Cooperatives.
4. The prospective applicants are also expected to submit the following documents along with their letter of expression of Interest not later than two weeks from the publication of this advertisement (22, May 2020);
I. Evidence of incorporation of Business with the Corporate Affairs Commission;
II. Evidence of registration with the Oyo State Bureau of Public Procurement;
III. Evidence of registration of Business Premises with the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Investment and Cooperatives
IV. Evidence of payment of the mandatory N50,000 non refundable application fee;
V. Evidence of current Government Tax Clearance Certificate;
VI. Evidence of similar jobs/projects undertaken in the past and
VII. Other relevant documents that can facilitate the applicants consideration for the job.
