TENDER FOR TEACHING, COACHING AND FACILITATION SERVICE
The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, through its Competitive African Rice Initiative Project in Abuja Nigeria Programme, financed by the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany, invites qualified consulting firms or companies to express their interest, find details below;
GIZ intends to award a contract to engage the services of Consulting firms to:
– onboard smallholder rice farmers that work with CARI to a specific digital solution that enables access to financial services (called CashCard)
– onboard a CARI partner organization to a digital supply chain management solution (called PaddyBase)
– CashCard aims at bringing digital financial services to the underserved smallholder farmer. The solution enables smallholder farmers in rural Nigeria to receive digital payments and build their financial profile completely offline via USSD (*347*46#). This is done via regular feature phones (and not smartphones).
– PaddyBase aims a digitalizing the supply chain and is customized to the rice value chain and the needs to smallholder farming systems.
Accordingly, GIZ invites interested and qualified consulting firm to express their interest by furnishing GIZ Nigeria Country Office with the following
a. An official letter expressing interest
b Comprehensive Company profile with CVs of experts with degree in computer science and experience in working with digital solutions in the agriculture sector
c. Evidence of experience and access to Paddy Base and CashCard solutions and rice productions practices. Evidence required are proofs of login credentials to CashCard (Gather) and Paddy Base as well as a questionnaire on how to onboard farmers
d Tax Identification Number (TIN) documentary evidence
For consideration, all interested & qualified consulting companies should submit the aforementioned documents only as hard copy in a sealed envelope to GIZ Nigeria Office reception at No. 4 Julius Nyerere Crescent, Asokoro, Abuja and kindly label as follows:
