INVITATION FOR PREQUALIFICATION
WATER SUPPLY CONSTRUCTION WORKS
The four-year USAID funded Effective Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Services (E-WASH) Program provides technical assistance to state governments to improve urban water service delivery by strengthening the governance, financial, and technical viability of five (5) state water boards (SWBS) in Nigeria. This is part of the United States Government’s (USG) efforts, working with the Government of Nigeria to address challenges faced by the urban water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) sector.
The Government of Nigeria has received a grant from the USG administered through USAID toward funding the E-WASH Program in Nigeria and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant to payments for.
PACKAGE I REF: E-WASH/CW/001- ABIA WATER SUPPLY CONSTRUCTION WORKS
a. Lot 1- Rehabilitation & improvement of Ubakala Water Supply Scheme complete with treatment plant and provision of 5km distribution pipe network. Ubakala.
PACKAGE II REF: E-WASH/CW/002- DELTA WATER SUPPLY CONSTRUCTION WORKS
a. Lot 1- Rehabilitation and Pipeline Extension of Ogwashi-Uku Water Supply Scheme
b. Lot 2- Refurbishment of Water Treatment Chambers for 5 Schemes (Ozoro, Obiaruku, Koko, Sapele, Umunede) in Delta State.
PACKAGE III REF: E-WASH/CW/003- IMO WATER SUPPLY CONSTRUCTION WORKS
a. Lot 1- Improvement of Otamiri headwork, Owerri
PACKAGE IV REF: E-WASH/CW/004- NIGER WATER SUPPLY CONSTRUCTION WORKS
a. Lot 1- Supply & installation of pipes for Minna township network improvement
b. Lot 2 – Design and Implement proposed Minna Pilot District Metered Area (DMA), Minna,
PACKAGE V REF: E-WASH/CW/005- TARABA WATER SUPPLY CONSTRUCTION WORKS
a. Lot 1- Rehabilitation and Extension of 55km distribution network in Jalingo City
b Lot 2- Design and Implement proposed Jalingo Pilot District Metered Area (DMA), Jalingo, Taraba State,
APPLICANT MAY PREQUALIFY FOR ONE OR MORE CONTRACT PACKAGES/LOTS.
1. USAID E-WASH (with RTI International as the procurement agent) intends to prequalify competent contractors and/or firms for water supply construction works. The works will comprise the repair or replacement and construction of critical components of the water supply located in five SWBS of Abia, Delta, Imo, Niger, and Taraba State, to restore operations and increase capacity. It is expected that Invitations for the Bid will be issued in February 2021.
2. Prequalification will be conducted through prequalification procedures specified in the prequalification document.
3. A complete electronic set of the Prequalification Document in English may be obtained by interested applicants through the submission of a written application to the email address procurement@ewash.rti.org. No fee is due.
4. Applications for Prequalification should be submitted electronically to the above email address by 28th January 2021 and be clearly marked “Application to Prequalify for E-WASH Construction Project,” followed by the number and title of the contract package(s) and lot(s) for which prequalification application is/are being made.
5. Applicants will be advised, in due course, of the results of their applications. Only firms and joint ventures prequalified under this procedure will be invited to bid.
