INVITATION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION FOR PROJECTS UNDER 2021 BUDGET
Upon inception of the present dispensation in Bauchi state, transparency, price competitiveness and value for money were watch words that guided government business. That necessitated an immediate review of all of projects of the previous administrations alongside the procurement laws of the state. This is with the objects of ensuring value for money and completing the projects to deliver the intended benefits to the good people Bauchi state. However, extant rules were observed to guide affairs until the new guidelines were in place, Prior to the effectiveness of the reviewed procurement laws, the new administration in fulfillment of its promises to the electorate prioritized some projects and made supplementary appropriation. The projects embarked upon were planned, procured and executed based on their individual natures and circumstances. Thus following extant rules the following projects were procured and were completed within record time and others are their various stages of progress:

Now with the reviewed guidelines in place the Ministry of Works and Transport in furtherance of its statutory mandate, intends to implement some capital projects under various works and services in line with the approved 2021 budget, supplementary in view, and in accordance with the Bauchi State Public Procurement Act 2008 as reviewed.
The Ministry therefore invites interested competent Construction Companies to submit prequalification documents for the under listed projects.
(2) SCOPE OF WORKS AND SERVICES
The scope of works to be covered is as in the table below:

Prequalification Requirements
- Evidence of registration with Corporate Affairs Commission(CAC);
- Evidence of current registration with the Bauchi state government as a contractor;
- Evidence of Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years ending in December 2020;
- Evidence of VAT Registration and up-to-date remittance;
- Evidence of certificate of compliance by National Pension Commission (PENCOM);
- Unabridged company Audited Annual Report for the immediate past (3) years;
- Evidence of similar and verifiable projects (ongoing/completed) by the companies indicating location, letter of award and completion certificates in the last five years;
- Evidence of financial capability to execute the project and banking support;
- Equipment and Technical Capability;
- A detailed Company Profile showing list of Managerial and Administrative Staff with their relevant qualifications.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Please note that:
- The Ministry may verify any or all the claims made by companies and shall disqualify any company whose claims are found to be false in addition to other sanctions that may be deemed necessary;
- Companies who have worked for Bauchi State Government and have history of poor performance, abandonment, termination and/or prolonged contract execution period need not apply;
- This advertisement shall not entitle pre-qualified companies to make any claims whatsoever, and/or seek any indemnity from the Ministry by virtue of such companies having been prequalified;
- All costs incurred in responding to this advert and prequalifying for the projects shall be borne solely by the company;
- All submission pages must be duly initialed by the company; and
- Successful pre-qualified companies will be issued with bidding documents at a prescribed fee in due course.
METHOD OF SUBMISSION:
All submissions should be delivered in two (2) hard copies and one (1) soft copy in a neatly sealed envelope clearly marked for the category selected by the company which must be delivered on or before 12.00 noon, one week after the date of this publication (19th February 2021) to the following address:
