1. BACKGROUND:
The proposed Ibadan Circular Roadis intended as a 110km-long expressway that encircles the whole urban area of Ibadan city. The Circular Road is conceptualized to act as a bypass of the city, allowing vehicles to be dispersed rather than concentrated on routes within the city, thereby reducing congestion and providing an opportunity to expand outwards; with direct connection to the main entry points into the city.

The Circular Road is planned to be constructed in four (4) segments, commencing with the East End Segment, which veers off from the Lagos lbadan Expressway, traversing the proposed Oluyole Free Trade Zone, and ending on the Ibadan-Ife Highway.
