(1) This request for expression of interest follows the General Procurement Notice for this project that appeared in Development Business No. AfDB 75-0/18 of January 26, 2018.
(2) The Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria/Plateau State Government has received financing from the African Development Bank toward the cost of the Plateau State Potato Value Chain Support Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds for this loan to payments under the contract for Training of ADP Extension Agents in Plateau State.
(3) The services under this assignment include conducting training to enhance the capacity of ADP staff extension agents toward better service delivery along the Potato Value Chain.
(4) The Plateau State Potato Value Chain Support Project now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services. The Consulting Firm shall have at least six (6) years’ experience in agricultural extension work, field demonstration establishments, agricultural pest control and management, agricultural marketing and storage and farm management. It should have a record of minimum three (3) projects of comparable nature in the agricultural sector. The Consultant will also demonstrate the availability of the following key personnel with relevant experience as follows;
Team Member Minimum Requirements Team LeaderAgriculturalExtension He/she shall have a minimum of MSc Degree in Agricultural Extension, Agriculture or related field with at least 8 years’ experience as a Consultant in training Donor agency beneficiaries and or staff. Agronomist He/she shall have a Master of Science (MSc) Degree or Bachelor of Science Degree in Agronomy with at least 4 years’ training experience. Marketing Specialist He/she shall have a Bachelor of Science [Degree in Agricultural Marketing or any related field with a minimum of three (3) years’ working experience
(5) The assignment will be undertaken in 6 non-consecutive working days over a period of 2 weeks and the estimated starting date is August 2022.
(7) Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be Least Cost in accordance with the Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations (Policy). October 2015 which is available on the Bank’s Website at
