CALL FOR THE SUBMISSION TO QUOTATION FOR MODIFICATION OF GENERAL HOSPITAL PANKSHIN AND COCIN REHABILITATION CENTRE AND HOSPITAL MANGU
An implementing partner of the Comprehensive and inclusive eye health program with funding from CBM is calling for submission of quotations for modification of General hospital Pankshin and COCIN Rehabilitation Centre and Hospital Mangu with the following bill of quantities.
(1) RENOVATION OF GENERAL HOSPITAL PANKSHIN, PLATEAU STATE
(A) SUBSTRUCTURE
(1) Excavation and Earthwork
(i) Site preparation:
- Clear site of any scrub, bushes, under growths, grasses, rubbish, debris etc and remove from site and deposit in a temporary spoil heap for reuse.
(ii) Excavation:
- Excavate trench for foundation starting from strip level and not exceeding 1.00m deep (49 Ln.m)
- Ditto to column bases 1.2m wide and 300mm deep from foundation trench (10 Nos)
- Level and Compact bottom of excavated trench to receive concrete (49 Ln.m)
- Select excavated material to backfill around foundation trench (49 Ln.m)
- Apply Dieldrex anti-termite solution treatment to sides and bottom of excavated trench and earth filling (49 Ln.m)
(iii) Hardcore filling:
- Backfill 300mm with approved laterite (15Cu.m)
(2) Concrete work:
(i) Plain In-situ concrete (1:3:6-20mm aggregate) in: 50mm Blinding (12.5 Cu.m)
(ii) Plain in-situ concrete (1:3:6-40 mm aggregate developing minimum work strength of 11.5 N/Sq.mm at 28 days. Foundation Trench (In-Filling)-6 Cu.m
(iii) Reinforced In-situ concrete (1:2:4-20mm aggregate) developing minimum 21N/sq.mm works strength at 28 days in: Column bases (5 Cu.m), Damp proof membrane (49 Ln.m)
(iv) High yield reinforcement bars in column and column bases including lintel 8mmm Diameter bars (57 Kg), 12mm Diameter bars (117 Kg)
(v) Sawn formwork to: Sides of columns including sides of concrete capping (partition wall bases)-185 Ln.m
(3) Block work in foundation:
(i) Hollow Sandcrete blockwork filled solid with plain Insitu concrete (1:10-20mm aggregate) and laid in stretcher bond pointed and jointed in cem./sand morta (1:6) in 230mm foundation walls (49 Ln.m)
(B) SUPERSTRUCTURE
(1) Concrete work:
(i) Reinforced in-situ concrete (1: 2:4-20mm aggregate) developing minimum 21 N/sq.mm works strength in 28 days in: Lintel (6 Cu.m), column (4 Cu.m), Ground beams and additional ramps (s)-3.5Cu.m, Roof Beam (2 Cu.m)
(ii) High yield reinforcement bars in lintel: 8mm Diameter bar (38 Kg), 12mm Diameter bar (67 Kg)
(iii) Sawn form-work to: side and soffit of lintel (49 Lin.m), side of column (70 Lin.m), roof of beam (49 Ln.m), suspended ground beam (49 Ln.m).
(2) Blockwork:
(i) 450x 225mm hollow sandcrete block laid in cement and sand morta (1:6) and laid in strecher bond in: 230mm wall (49 Ln.m), 150mm wall (0 Ln.m)
(C) STEPS, SIGNAGES AND DIRECTIONS
(i) Contrast steps with coloured tiles and fabrication of all signages and directions including entrance reception and waiting area.
(D) EXTERNAL WORKS:
(i) External works including tactile paving’s, setting out of parking bays, walking to health facility,
(E) FENESTRATION (DOORS):
(i) Door size 1500 x 2100 mm (6 Nr)
(ii) Door size 750 x 2100mm (0 Nr)
(iii) Door site 1200 x 2100mm (0 Nr)
(iv) Door size 900x 2100mm (7 Nr)
(F) SERVICES:
(i) Plumbing repairs and replacement of all defective plumbing fittings and installation.
(ii) Electrical installation- Repairs and replacement of defective electrical installations of fire alarm.
(G) FINISHING:
(i) Rendering- 25mm rendering (plaster) to newly erected walls (184 sq.m)
(ii) Painting and decoration;
- Prepare and apply one under coat and two finishing coats of high-quality emulsion on: Rendered wall (298 sq.m), soffit of finished celling coverings (175 sq.m)
- External painting- prepare and apply one undercoat and two finishing coats of high-quality emulsion paint on: rendered wall (157 sq.m)

(A) SITE PREPARATION:

(B) ENTRANCE, RECEPTION AND WAITING:
(i) Contrasting steps with colored tiles, ramp and fabrication of all signages and directions including reception counter.
(ii) Maps and printed information about services provided.
(C) EXTERNAL WORKS– including tactile paving’s, setting out of parking bays, walkway to health facility.
(D) FENESTRATION (DOORS):
(i) Door size 1200 x 2100mm with door mat (1 Nr)
(ii) Door size 750 x 2100mm (0 N r)
(iii) Door size 1200 x 2100mm (0 Nr)
(iv) Doorsize 900 x 2100mm (15 Nr)
(E) SERVICES:
(i) Plumbing-Repairs and replacement of all defective plumbing fittings and installations.
(ii) Electrical installation-construction of two toilets and for repair and replacement of defective electrical installations and installation of fire alarms.
(G) FINISHING:
(i) Rendering-25mm rendering (plaster) to newly erected toilet walls (95 sq.m)
(ii) Painting and decoration:
- Internal painting-prepare and apply one under coat and two finishing coats of high-quality emulsion paints on: rendered wall (211 sq.m), soffit of finished ceiling coverings (125 sq.m)
- External painting- prepare and apply one under coat and two finishing coats of high-quality emulsion paints on: rendered wall (138 sq.m),

Method of Application
Interested vendors should submit quotations via email on or before the 14 December, 2022.
Submission of Bid
All Quotation must be submitted electronically to Procurement.ecwaeyecomp@bhuth.org.ng with the subject; Attention the procurement committee, Comprehensive and inclusive eye health project.
Quotations must be signed, stamped, scanned and sent as an attachment in PDF format.
Instructions
- All quotations must be submitted before the close of business (4pm) on the 14 December, 2022
- Bidders must follow the instructions set forth in all documents for tenderer bids will not be considered.
- A prospective bidder requiring any clarification may verify with us via email no later than 14 December, 2022 at the email address ruth.alfin@yahoo.com
- Provide scanned evidence of registration of business name, verifiable business address and a valid bank account in the name of the business.
- Provide evidence of payment of Tax/Company TIN
- We will not be responsible for any cost or expenses incurred by the vendor in connection with the preparation of submission of bid.
Evaluation Criteria
Bids will be evaluated based on their responsiveness to the specifications, qualification, after sales services, payment terms and delivery time.
NB: Applicable 5% withholding tax (WHT) will be deducted.
