INVITATION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION OF CONTRACTORS AND RESIDENTS SUPERVISION CONSULTANTS FOR PROJECTS EXECUTION

The Government of Taraba State is desirous of Dualization section of Federal Road Wukari-Jalingo rod and Bridges (Route A4) and Rehabilitation/Reconstruction of section of Federal Road Jalingo-Apawa-Zing-Adamawa State Border (Route A130). This is in-line with the Agenda of Moving Taraba State Forward and repositioning the state on path of massive infrastructure development to deliver the dividends of democracy to the good people of the state thus, enhancing economic activities.

The Government hereby invites interested, reputable and experienced bidders to submit technical proposal for;
i. Dualization of section of Federal Road, Wukari –Jalingo and Bridges (Route A4)
ii. Phase I: Construction of new carriageway Wukari – Jalingo road and bridges
iii. Phase II: Rehabilitation/Reconstruction of section of Jalingo-Apawa-Zing-Adamawa State Border (Route A.13)
iv. Construction of Algon road in Jalingo.

SCOPE
i. Site clearance and general Earthworks
ii. Construction of culverts. BID SECURITY LOCATION 2% of bid price 2% of bid price 2% of bid price Wukari, Gassol & Jalingo LGA Jalingo-Yorro & Zing LGA Jalingo LGA
iii. Construction of concrete lined slope protection works and other appurtenances at critical areas.
iv. Construction of dual carriage way of (4-lane) of 14.60 meters wide and shoulders of 2.75 meters wide on each side.
v. Construction of Bridges.
vi. The carriage way shall be finished on stone base, asphalt binder and wearing course while the shoulders shall be of base course laterite with bituminous surface dressing.
vii. Other slope protection works where applicable. Any other ancillary works related to the protect as shall be directed.

INVITATION FOR TECHNICAL PROPOSAL
In view of the above, the Government of Taraba State invites competent, reputable and experienced bidders to submit technical proposal for the construction of Dualization of Section of Federal Road Wukari – Jalingo and Bridges (Route A.4), and Rehabilitation/Reconstruction of Section of Federal Road Jalingo Apawa- Zing Adamawa State Border (Route A.13) and the Construction of Algon Road in Jalingo and Expression of Interest for the Resident Supervision with the following:
i. Certificate of Incorporation of firm in Nigeria.
ii. Company profile including key professional staff and their resumes.
iii. Current Tax Clearance Certificate for the last 3 years
iv. Evidence of having successfully carried out road Construction Work and Supervision in the case of Consultant in the past (3) years (including title of the projects, Client etc.)
v. Evidence of Registration and Payment of Pension and Social Security Contribution.
vi. Current Audited Account for the last 3 years
vii. Evidence of Registration with Industrial Training Fund (ITF).
viii. Evidence of Value Added Tax (VAT) Certificate and remittances for the past three years.
ix. Evidence of Financial Capacity/Reference letter from a Reputable Bank
x. Evidence of valid registration with Taraba State Government as a Contractor.
xi. Consultant most show evidence of Registration with COREN and track records of having handled projects of similar magnitude.

BID DOCUMENTS
All completed technical proposal must reach the office of Director, Planning, Research and Statistics, Ministry of Works and Infrastructure Development, Barde Way, Jalingo, Taraba State on before 30th April, 2024.

SUBMISSION
1. The Technical proposal and other supporting documents in respect of this Bid should be three (3) copies in A4 format and spiral bound are to be submitted not later than 30th April, 2024.
2. All Documents must be submitted in sealed envelope marked
i. Dualization of Section of Federal Road, Wukari – Jalingo Road and Bridges (Route A.4)
a) Phase 1: Construction of New Carriageway Wukari – Jalingo Road and Bridges.
b) Phase II: Rehabilitation/Reconstruction of Jalingo-Wukari Road
ii. Rehabilitation/Reconstruction of Section of Jalingo – Apawa-Zing – Adamawa State Border (Route A.13).
iii. Construction of Algon Road in Jalingo With their company name clearly indicated on the top left side of the envelopes and addressed to:

Ministry of Works and Infrastructure Development,
Barde Way, Jalingo, Taraba State.

NOTE
Taraba State Government reserves the right to verify claims by the Contractors/consultant. The Government is not under any obligation to explain to any Contractor/Consultant for not qualifying and also not bound to choose the lowest bidder.
