CLINTON HEALTH ACCESS INITIATIVE (CHAI)
REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) FOR CONSULTANCY SERVICES TO CONDUCT BASELINE ASSESSMENTS FOR THE INTEGRATED SRMNH APPROACH INVESTMENT IN FCT, ENUGU, ONDO AND GOMBE STATES

SPECIFICATIONS AND INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS:
Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) is a global health organization committed to strengthening integrated health systems in the developing world and expanding access to care and treatment for HIV/AIDS, Malaria, tuberculosis, vaccines and maternal and child health among others. CHAI’s solution-oriented approach focuses on improving market dynamics for medicines and diagnostics; lowering prices for treatment; accelerating access to life-saving technologies; and helping governments build the capacity required for high-quality care and treatment programs. For more information please visit: http://www.clintonhealthaccess.org.

Building on the progress made in strengthening coordination of sexual, reproduction, maternal and newborn health (SRMNH) commodity introduction in Nigeria, CHAI proposes to work in select states – Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Enugu, Ondo and Gombe – with funding from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) to demonstrate the operational feasibility of introducing new reproduction health products to enhance commodity market stewardship and drive significant improvements in the uptake of quality reproductive, maternal and newborn health services.

The program will focus on building capacity of service providers to provide comprehensive SRMNH services, improving health literacy among pregnant women, ensuring the availability of essential MNH commodities, and updating national guidelines to include the new products being introduced. Leveraging the Product Introduction Coordination Mechanism (PICM) and implementation of the Group Antenatal Care (G-ANC) and EMOTIVE approach, CHAI will deepen both supply and demand-side engagements to catalyze product uptake in the focus states through an integrated program approach
