REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR EROSION CONTROL PROJECT FOR NIGERIAN ELECTRICITY SUPPLY CORPORATION (NESCO) NIGERIA LIMITED, BUKURU, JOS SOUTH, PLATEAU STATE NIGERIA
INTRODUCTION
The Nigerian Electricity Supply Corporation (Nigeria) Limited (NESCO) operating hydro plants since 1929 with power stations equipped with an initial installed generation capacity of 31MW from both hydroelectric and thermal sources of power.
NESCO served an area in excess of 14,000 square kilometers across Plateau State, Benue State, Nasarawa State, Kaduna State, the Federal Capital Territory, and adjacent states, supplying mining, industrial, commercial, and domestic consumers in these areas with electrical power.
The Forebay to Jekko 1 hydropower station, part of the NESCO’s cascaded power plants, has been severely impacted by gully erosion. This erosion threatens critical infrastructure, including a 1.5-meter diameter pipeline supplying the Jekko 1 power station. Preliminary Technical Assessment conducted identified urgent stabilization needs to forestall further erosion.
In that regard, NNL seeks to appoint a consultant/vendor for the provision of services to reclaim eroded slopes, stabilize landside prone areas, protect critical assets, and develop sustainable solutions for erosion control.

REQUIREMENT/ELIGIBILITY
a. Specifically, applicants should include 3 hard copies of their offer in line with the requirements of this RFP, clearly stating the project proposed.
b. All other requirements and bidding instructions shall be found in the bidding documents
c. The proposal shall be submitted in 2 (two) parts one marked ‘Technical Proposal’ and the other marked ‘Financial Proposal’
d. Submission of the requirements above should be clearly labeled as “JEKKO 1 EROSION CONTROL”. This is a prerequisite for onward collection and processing of the bidding documents.
