MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND NATURAL RESOURCES PROCUREMENT UNIT
INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF FOUR (4) NUMBER SMALL EARTH DAMS AND IRRIGATION FACILITIES

In its desire towards enhancing agricultural productivity by providing a reliable water source for irrigation, the Kano State Government approved the construction of small earth dams and Irrigation in four (4)additional locations across the State. By this development, the State Ministry of Agriculture & Natural Resources wishes to invites prospective companies to express interest in the following projects:

1Construction Small Earth Dam and Irrigation in Sumaila, Sumaila Local Government Area
Construction Small Earth Dam and Irrigation in Gezawa, Gezawa Government Area
2Construction Small Earth Dam and Irrigation in Dawakin Tofa, Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area
Construction Small Earth Dam and Irrigation in Malikawa, Ghari (Kunchi) Local Government Area

(2) SUBMISSION OF PRE-QUALIFICATION DOCUMENTS:
Interested companies should submit the following pre-qualified documents to the Office of the DPR&S/Secretary SMTB, Ministry of Agriculture & Natural Resources, No. 2 Bida Road, Off Post Office Road, Kano, on or before 28 July 2025 not later than 12:00noon.

(3) THE REQUIREMENT FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION
(A) Evidence of experience as a prime contractor on at least one project within last 5yrs

(B) Memorandum and Article of Association (Name of Directors with their addresses)

(C) Have a project manager of between 3-5 years experiences;

(D) Organizational structure and names of key personnel with copies of CVs & certificates;

(E) Evidence of registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission

(F) Evidence of Tax Clearance Certificate (TCC) for the last 3 years;

(G) Annual Turnover and audited statement of account of the company for last 3 yrs:

(H) VAT registration, Evidence of Past VAT remittances & Tax Identification Number (TIN);

(I) Evidence for settlement of withholding taxes due to the State; and

(J) Evidence of Registration with Due Process Bureau & Kano State Works Reg. Borad

(4) IMPORTANT NOTICE
(I) Late submission of pre-qualification documents will not be entertained

(II) Only companies/contractors that are adjudged successful in the pre-qualification screening exercise shall be invited to collect tender documents upon payment of non-refundable fee of N250,000.00 payable to the Account Section of the Ministry.

(III) Application for expression of interest accompanied by the above listed documents should be forwarded in appropriately sealed envelopes boldly marked at the Top left corner EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (PRE-QUALIFICATION) FOR THE CONSTRUCTION SEVEN (7) NUMBER SMALL EARTH DAMS AND IRRIGATION FACILITIES: To the DPR&S/ Secretary SMTB, Ministry of Agriculture & Natural Resources, No. 2 Bida Road, Off Post Office Road, Kano.

(iv) This advertisement will not be a commitment on the part of Kano State Government nor shall it entail that those that submitted documents could make claim (s) whatsoever and/or seek any indemnity from Kano State Government or its State Ministry of Health of this publication.
