EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR THE POSITION OF EXTERNAL AUDITOR
1. INTRODUCTION
The Federal College of Education, Ilawe-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria in compliance with the provision of Section 85(3)(a) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, hereby invited applications from suitably qualified accounting firms for the position of External Auditor.
2. QUALIFICATION
Interested accounting firm must provide evidence of the following:
(i) Valid Tax Clearance Certificate for the last Three Years.
(ii) Current Registration with Office of the Auditor-General of the Federation.
(iii) Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission.
(iv) Valid Audit Practicing License.
(v) Successfully executed audit works, preferably of tertiary institutions (Universities, Polytechnics or Colleges of Education).
(vi) Registration with Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).
(vii) Compliance with the Provision of the Pension Reform Act, 2004 as contained in Section 16(6)(d) of the Public Procurement Act, 2007.
(viii) Registration with the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria.
3. TERMS OF CONDITIONS
(i) The audit firm to be appointed must have been registered or renewed its registration with the Office of the Auditor-General of the Federation (OAuGF) up to the year for which appointment or renewal of appointment is being sought as evidenced by the list of accredited firms published/issued by the Office of the Auditor-General of the Federation.
(ii) The tenure of the appointed Auditor Firm shall be one (1) year in the first instance, renewable annually subject to satisfactory performance for three (3) years and on no account should annual renewal extend the total tenure of the appointed firm beyond five (5) years.
4. METHOD OF APPLICATION
Interested accounting firm should submit ten (10) copies of application including Company’s profile and relevant documents in sealed envelopes marked at the top hand corner “Application for Appointment as External Auditor” addressed to:

Ilawe-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria.
All Applications should reach the Registrar not later than three (3) weeks from the date of this publication.
