DEADLINE: 14TH JANUARY, 2021 THE FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC EDE, OSUN STATE INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF STUDENTS HOSTELS (BUILD, OPERATE AND TRANSFER (BOT) CONCEPT)

The Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Osun State Nigeria is desirous to Collaborate with Private Investors in Conjunction with the Public Private Partnership (PPP) to build befitting Students Hostels. These measures will enhance a conducive learning environment for the Students growing population and it will also alleviate their sufferings in securing a decent accommodation outside the campus. Interested investors are hereby assured of commensurate returns on investments

(1) APPLICATION: Application are hereby requested from reputable and interested Private Organization (s) or Individual(s) with cognate experience and good track record for Expression of Interest in the construction/building of students’ hostels at South campus of the Polytechnic.

(2) PROJECT RATIONALE: The prevailing economic situations make it expedient to devise means of developing/building students’ housing accommodation in the South campus of the Polytechnic. Therefore, the build operate and transfer (BOT) concept is in line with Governing Council’s development strategy to develop and improve the Polytechnic with a bid to fulfill the Polytechnic Self Sustenance.

(3) NATURE AND COMPONENTS OF THE PROJECTS Construction/building of students’ hostels through Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT). The Polytechnic, thus, intends to engage Private Organization individual on Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) concept for the construction and management of a befitting and modern students’ hostels. Interested investor is expected to submit a Structural Design of the proposed students’ hostels along with other documents listed in paragraph (5c)

(4) PROJECT FINANCING The projects are expected to be financed by would-be-investors.

(5) METHOD OF APPLICATION (a) Interested Private Enterprise(s) or Individual(s) are expected to obtain Expression of Interest Form at the Office of Director of Physical Planning of the Polytechnic after the payment of Non-Refundable Fees of Twenty Five Thousand Naira (N25,000.00) only for Expression of Interest Fee Bank Draft in the name of Federal Polytechnic Ede.

(b) The completed Expression of Interest Form must be submitted in triplicate within four (4) weeks of this advertisement to the Office of Director of Physical Planning of the Polytechnic (I.E. 12 JANUARY, 2022) (c) All completed Expression of Interest Form should be accompanied with the following documents:

(i) Evidence of Company Registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission.

(ii) Evidence of similar projects successfully executed by the Company

(iii) Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years

(iv) Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Company

(v) Evidence of Technical & Managerial Capability

(vi) Companies Audited Account for the last three (3) years

(vii) Evidence of payment for Pre-qualification fee of twenty-five Thousand Naira (N25,000.00) only, Bank Draft in the name of the Polytechnic.

(viii) Evidence of Payment of Government Development Levy

(6) PLEASE NOTE (i) The Polytechnic is neither committed nor obliged to shortlist any Private Firm/individual or award any of the project to any Firm.

(ii) The Polytechnic reserves the right to reject any or all Expression of Interest Forms and other documents packages.

(iii) The Polytechnic will only recognize and correspond with authorized officers of the interested Firm/individual and not through any agent acting on their behalf.

(iv) This application for Invitation for Expression of Interest shall neither be considered as a commitment on the part of the Polytechnic nor entitle any Firm/individual to make any claim whatsoever, and, or seek any indemnity.

(v) Representatives of all the Companies should avail themselves for the consideration of their documents on *a date to be fixed* at the office of the Director of Physical Planning.

(vi) Late submission of Expression of Interest Form will not be entertained.

(vii) Further clarification can be obtained from the Director (Director of Physical Planning.

N.B: All Completed Expression of Interest Form are to be Submitted to the Office of the Director of Physical Planning of the Polytechnic.
