INVITATION TO TENDER FOR THE YEAR 2024/2025 TETFUND INSTITUTION BASED SKILLS DEVELOPMENT INTERVENTION
1.0 INTRODUCTION
In compliance with the provision of public procurement Act, 2007, The Federal Polytechnic Ukana, Akwa Ibom State, invites eligible Contractors, Supplies, Vendors to bid for the under listed projects under the Year 2024/2025 TETFUND as follows;
2.0 THE PROJECT
1. Supply and Installation of Equipment and Tools for Welding and Fabrication Trade LOT 1
2. Supply and Installation of Equipment and Tools for Electrical Installation and Maintenance Trade LOT 2
3. Supply and Installation of Equipment and Tools for Carpentry and Joinery Trade LOT 3
4. Supply and Installation of Equipment and Tools for Plumbing Trade LOT 4
3.0 ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT
(i) Evidence of Certificate of incorporation from Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
(ii) Evidence of current Company Income Tax Clearance Certificate(CIT), valid till 31st December, 2025
(iii) Evidence of current Compliance Certificate from Pension Fund — PENCOM, valid till 31st December, 2025
(iv) Evidence of current Compliance Certificate from Industrial Training Fund (ITF) contribution, valid till 31st December, 2025
(v) Evidence of Compliance Certificate from National Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), valid till 31st December, 2025
(vi) Evidence of Interim Registration Report(IRR) in Bureau for Public Procurement (BPP) National Database of Contractors, Consultants and Service Providers, valid till 31st December, 2025
(vii) Valid Sworn Affidavits disclosing whether or not any officer of the relevant committees of Federal Polytechnic Ukana, Akwa Ibom State or the Bureau of Public Procurement is a former or present Director, Shareholder or has any pecuniary interest in the bidder, and to confirm that all information presented in its bid are true and correct in all particulars and that no partner/director has been convicted in any country for criminal offences related to fraudulent or corrupt practices, or criminal misrepresentation or falsification of facts relating to any matter.
(viii) Evidence of Bank Reference Letter from a reputable Commercial Bank.
4.0 COLLECTION OF TENDER DOCUMENTS
(i) Interested bidders are to collect the bidding documents from the procurement office on presentation of the receipt of payment of a non-refundable tender fee of N10, 000 per LOT.
5.0 SUBMISSION OF TENDER DOCUMENTS
(i) Completed Technical and Financial bids (2 hard copies) shall be in two different sealed tamper proof envelopes and labelled “Technical Bid” and “Financial Bid” and both placed in a third envelope. All the two (2) envelopes should bear the Company name at the reverse side while the “Project Name” and “Lot No.” at the Top Right-Hand corner of the envelope and addressed to: The Rector, Federal Polytechnic Ukana, Akwa Ibom State.
6.0 CLOSING DATE AND OPENING DATE
The closing date for submission will be by 12noon of Friday, 20th of June, 2025 and the Technical bid document shall be opened the same day in the presence of Companies’ representatives who may choose to attend at the Rector’s Conference Hall. Only pre-qualified bidders will have their financial bids opened.
7.0 GENERAL INFORMATION
(i) Bid must be in English Language signed by Officials assigned by the bidders.
(ii) Noncompliance to the instructions in this advert and late submission of bid will lead to outright Disqualification.
(iii) Federal Polytechnic Ukana, is not bound to pre-qualify any bidder and reserves the right to invoke the Provision of Section 23 and Section 28 of Public Procurement Act (PPA) 2007 on matters regarding those procurements without incurring any liability to the bidder.
(iv) Original Documents on any aspect of a Contractor’s submission may be requested for sighting during and or after opening session.
(v) Federal Polytechnic Ukana, reserves the right to verify any claim by the companies (Post Qualification). Companies shall include all necessary authority for such verification or stand to be disqualified
(vi) Federal Polytechnic Ukana, reserves the right to reject any or all bidding packages
